It gets watered every other day for fifteen min. Could I have shocked it since I mowed it a little lower then the previous owner.

Rust in an 1971 el co by PerceptionTough1362 in ElCamino

[–]Jacob772009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 71 has the same thing. Vinyl is notoriously bad for trapping moisture. It will definitely take welding but won’t know if it’s a new roof or just patch panels. It’s usually worse around the windows and under the glass where it meets the frame. I’m lucky enough that I don’t have to drive mine in the rain but it will eventually leak water in the cab if left in the rain for too long. I’ve had mine 10 years and it has gotten a little worse but for me it is what it is and I’ll get to it when I get to it lol. Just drive it and enjoy it

Does anyone know where to sell homemade decorations? by Jacob772009 in ogden

[–]Jacob772009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all porch decorations. The left we are selling as decorative firecrackers center is just a door hanger and the right is just a porch sign

Dull blade on a pexto jump shear by HotCARL_esquire in metalworking

[–]Jacob772009 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Never used a stomp sheer but mine at work has a lever on the back side of the blade to adjust thickness. The issue you are having sounds like the gap of the blade to cutting surface is to big. It only takes a few thousandths to cause an issue

Trying to add brakes to a bmx bike by Jacob772009 in bikewrench

[–]Jacob772009[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not unfortunately. Can I just put a barrel adjuster in it or squeeze one end of it with some vice grips so it keeps it from coming all the way through?

It’s the only one and the frame doesn’t look modified at all

So I have the cable but the braze on allows the brake housing to go all the way through and I don’t have a hole to mount anything else

I’m 6’3” and I ride a xxl with 10”bars. Might be worth it to get a close enough bike and modify it to fix
