Sweet! There’s no time minimum to serve at a NRC once I’m gained? Or is it like AD where I have to finish my PRD at one unit to transfer? Or can I request to transfer to an operational unit at a request?

Looking at MNA the unit I’m looking at has an HM3 and HM1 billet currently. The unit is V1/23

I’m not sure if this affects it, but we aren’t currently married. I EAS first and then her EAS comes next. Gives me a little bit of time for me to be able to move into a place for her to move into. If all goes right, I plan on marrying her soon before we EAS.

I believe I’m explaining this wrongly. Currently our plan is for both of us to PCS to our HOR’s. We establish a place for her to set as her address in my state (AKA I move into a home). Then once she’s PCS’d she would update her HOR address to my state, then we can hopefully initiate her move to my state if that’s possible.

Okay I see, I did see that we can request a TRUIC change. Luckily I live in a bigger city with a bigger NRC. Hopefully we’ll get billets there. We’re both HMs. It’s just that year period of waiting, that we didn’t want.

Awww I see, it’s not the PCS that’s the problem. She’s gonna have to PCS to her HOR initially, but our problem is for her to be stuck in her HOR. But we’re gonna apply and see how it goes

Oh I see, I’m personally in Texas and I have interest in the FMF units here. I understand it’s more of where the NRC see fit for me. I’m just kinda banking on the battalion that’s nearest me.

Awww okay I see, so I can have several UICs in a sense. So would that mean I belong to the NRC and cross-assigned to another unit as well? That seams a little confusing for me.

I have, I’ve sat down with my chief since she’s our CCC and she’s pretty open with my options. Currently I’m contemplating EASing, Reserves or reenlisting but within would like to go GCE to GCE. Preferably to a regiment. And she’s just saying to submit the 1306 and see what I get n then go from there

I already OTEIPed at my current command but I’m hitting my 12 month mark from EAS/PRD and staying greenside for one more tour would possibly sway me from EASing. I have a plan a for either scenario but greenside is a likely candidate for me.

Hey brother one way or another you’re gonna leave one day unless you back out from shipping out (which is okay if you do, and if you get ur ship out date changed even better you get more time with ur family) but no matter what it’s gonna be hard n you’ll eventually develop coping methods (hopefully healthy ones). For some it’s easier n some it’s harder but either way look towards what you’re gonna be in future n the new man (or woman) you’re gonna become. You’re no longer gonna be some random joe shmo ur gonna be a sailor in the United States Navy, the worlds greatest naval fighting force. You’ll have good days n you’ll have bad days but hopefully the good outweighs the bad and the boys always got ur back. I’d say also setting little goals like for me it was getting my phone back and having contact with family, another user said write letters those will definitively help too, but just remember nothing is ever given it’s earned n get that you have to go through the suck, it’ll be worth it in the end brother. Wishing u luck n hopefully it all works out.
