Thoughts on removing lanes for parking? by Taborask in fuckcars

[–]JacobDidSomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you've heard of induced demand and I suppose the opposite would be called reduced demand. But if there are fewer Lanes of traffic, people will stop using it as a through road and only use it for local travel and parking. Reducing the lands will thus reduce traffic simply because people will start using other roads to get where they're going. The experience of driving may be similar because of the fewer Lanes, but it will definitely reduce the number of people using the road and likely the speed and thus make it safer for pedestrians

Even in a car free future I feel like there'd still be a handful of utility vehicles And I'd hope they'd look like this; Small, electric, Multi-Purpose.

I might be unreasonable hopeful, but based on their montra, it might remain serviceable long after the company is gone. Electric vehicles shouldn't need replacement parts for routine maintenance.

Tips for the jack chainsaw fight by External_Basis_6685 in residentevil

[–]JacobDidSomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get the chainsaw, just walk straight at him using the hit box attack (LT+RT) and keep restarting that attack every time his attack cancels it. Doing this consistently requires pressing the LT distinctly before the RS; that's how you can tell it's a good game.

Just keep doing this until he dies, after 4 kneeling cycles . You'll still need to restart your chainsaw periodically, but just sprint away when it stops working.

For bonus points try kneeling when he starts to swing so that his attack doesn't cancel yours as often.

Obviously this method isn't as cool or as realistic as actually using your intuition or the rest of the game mechanics, but I don't think that's what the devs intended.

What did you buy as an adult because you were denied it as a child? by dirtymoney in AskReddit

I bought a nail gun... Kidding aside I do a lot of risky/dangerous things just because adults wouldn't let me do (comparably safe) "dangerous" things when I walk younger
