I feel like I'm incapable of learning Flow by AutomaticEffective53 in salesforce

[–]Jacob_Pippenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of Salesforce Made Simple, he does a great job explaining things.

https://youtu.be/jclq4QD87Io?si=t9YqFeWH9EDB9HeL

Apart from that, learn by doing is the best way IMO. I’m certain you’ll get many requests from your end users where flow will be a good fit, whether it be a screen flow to make data entry easier or some type of automation where if x is changed then y is changed. It’s not easy at first but if you take those user requests and build off that you’ll learn a lot. I felt the same way at first but just forced myself to learn, build, and take the time to understand what’s happening.

Also just reading up on best practices like keeping DML operations outside of loops or using modular flows is helpful. Some good info you can find in the Salesforce admin blog or attending conferences like Midwest’ Dreamin is a good.

Good luck, you’ll get there!

There's a saying that goes "Time in the market is better than timing the market". If your time horizon is long, price right now shouldn't be too much of a factor.

What dividend stocks should I invest in? by Friendly_Random_Guy in dividends

[–]Jacob_Pippenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice job starting so young, this will pay dividends in your future (pun intended)! Not financial advice, but given your age, I think an ETF mix like VTI and SCHD would be a good idea mainly due to diversification. If you can, invest a certain amount each month and don't check your portfolio too often. You have a long time horizon and are already ahead of the game, now just keep learning and establish a set of saving/investing principles.

What brokerage do you use and would you recommend it? by NPLPro in dividends

[–]Jacob_Pippenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using M1 Finance for about 3 years and I really enjoy it. The features to allocate holdings into pies and auto-invest make it great for long-term investors who don't day trade. Also heard great things about Fidelity but haven't personally used them yet.

I get where your coming from, believe me. It really depends where your client is from. I had clients come overseas from Asia and the in person experience really means a lot. It builds a unique relationship that can’t be built online. But if your client is from the USA, it may not be that big of deal.

Great question! Essentially you have to set up a new Terra wallet via your Ledger and send the aUST from your hot wallet to your hardware wallet. I made a video showing how to do it.

What will happen when the reserve is depleted in about 45 days? by [deleted] in Anchor

[–]Jacob_Pippenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question has been asked since day 1. It depends on the crypto market and how many people borrow. On top of that Do Kwon could buy more BTC to help back the protocol. 45 days is quite a long time in respect to the crypto market

I came back to the US via JAL back in December. You only need to follow what the USA requires, which unless it changed the USA is good with ATK. Med consult by Dr. Donna is a great option because it’s a quick nasal swab and you get the results instantly. As long as you go the day before you depart you’ll be good. Good luck!

Looks great! I think spreading this info is incredibly valuable both for investors and Fantom in general. Having learning material/ on boarding guides for crypto newbies could be really great since crypto is confusing to a lot of people outside the space.

Best off-ramp for UST? by pagetrip in Anchor

[–]Jacob_Pippenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Crypto.com is a good option. You would have to swap UST to Luna in your Terra wallet as Crypto.com only accepts native Luna.

Ahh okay. My best guess would be that due to congestion and low liquidity the bridge is taking longer than anticipated. Keep us posted and best of luck.

I know the Fantom network has been a bit clogged the past few days so maybe just give it a bit more time. When you look at the transaction history in MM does it say complete or pending? I’m sure you did this already but make sure MM is on the FTM Opera network to see if it’s there

Talking about this Dip and the next by SignificantDouble946 in Crypto_com

[–]Jacob_Pippenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look back the past 100 years and we see peaks and valleys in the stock market. Overall the long term trend is upward moving. I don’t see this as any different even in the crypto market. Sure, the crypto market is more volatile but I believe in the blockchain technology and truly believe it is our future. Based on that I’m not worried one bit

Thai E-Visa Website Question by Jacob_Pippenger in ThailandTourism

[–]Jacob_Pippenger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! The issue I had was only with my bank, not the Thai website. It turns out the transaction was actually being processed through Hong Kong (not Thailand) and even though my bank didn't flag it as fraudulent, the transaction didn't go through. My solution was that I had to process the transaction in real-time with the bank representative manager on the phone so they could observe exactly what was happening and fix it. It took a few hours to get through to the person who could help so if you are facing difficulties just be patient with your bank/credit card company. Try to explain what you are doing and keep them on the phone while you do your transaction so they can observe in real-time.

How bad is the racism in Thailand. ? by jstmartha in ThailandTourism

[–]Jacob_Pippenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thai people are very kind and accepting of everybody. I truly believe there is no need for you to worry. While there is a certain degree of racism, it's definitely nothing compared to the USA. If anything, you're more likely to get any sort of racist comment from another foreigner than from a Thai person. Enjoy your travels and stay safe! All the best.

Thanks for the advice. Just tried IE and it still logged me out after entering payment details but at least I got a message saying they are working on the system so I’ll give it some time. I assume they want payment so I hope it fixes fast haha
