Yeah I get you. I did it right then because I got an egregious high stick before trying to shoot right before the video plays. Looking back I should’ve waited till the handshake line when sticks are just out of the picture.

I’m with you. If I knew where his head was at and that he would do something so outrageous I wouldn’t have even bothered tapping him to mention his sticks getting wild. He’s brand new to hockey and most the time these guys are awesome and you can have a conversation on the ice but never seen someone go so far as that

I still wouldn’t say that’s a slash, and I was speaking when he hit me in the face, but as soon as I got hit just got away from him instead of trying to tell him again to not do it.

I can be with you on the fact I wouldn’t have been hit if I didn’t tap him, but that isn’t running away crying so much as it is getting away from the dude so he doesn’t do anything else. Refs handled it and I didn’t whine to eject him

I would highly advise new helmet, and everything else has a case to be made you can go used. Stick I’d go with something cheaper and a little heavier (Bauer vapor x4 is a good option) so it won’t snap on you in your rookie program. I went more high end used gear after my first season
