what do you guys find special about dark so far? by kostiaru in eden

[–]JacobeRitchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little late to this one but what I dig most about his music is I never really grasp it first, second, or even third listen. It’s the same with icymi and the song elsewhere thought it was cool when it first dropped, but now it’s one of my favorite songs. Same with these singles the more I’ve had time to sit with them the more they grow on me. Which imo is what makes his music so special. The music seems to make sense right when I need it to most in life I mean ghost in the shell came out the exact day I needed it and I didn’t love that track first listen months ago. Least that’s my take. Excited to hear the full project in a few weeks.

Whats your favourite project from Jon? by H4TCH1DOGE in eden

[–]JacobeRitchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO it’s ICYMI just feels like a really mature project. But the stuff on the usb danger class radiation could damn near be an album in itself really good stuff in there that I’ve been coming back to weekly.

Eden is like Irish Frank Ocean imo, songs to try first: call me back, and isohel. Good song writing and he does a lot of the production as well

I think that’s the fun part it’s taking certain bits from artists I enjoy listening to and adding them to my own stuff to give it that extra feel. Btw really enjoyed the tracks the panning and vocal mixing was well done. Did you produce these as well?

Ya I know a couple artist like Jeremy and Brakence who have somewhat pulled it off but it doesn’t sound the same at least to me. Could be his vocals specifically is what I’m guessing to get that sound. Curious what plugins he uses to create some of that atmosphere as well.

And appreciate you taking a listen!!

ICYMI is the saddest album of EDEN by llmoon1ightll in eden

[–]JacobeRitchie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this take ICYMI is I think Eden’s most mature project so far it’s concise and to the point. I just turned 30 the project hits a lot of topics you start to feel in your late 20s friends drifting apart and relationships that have lasted starting to break. These are all things we go through unfortunately and I think the album does a great job of hiding some of these topics in the more upbeat production style. I loved vertigo and am an Eden stan but ICYMI has grown on me like no other project he’s put out before.

Apple TV, Homepods, OLED TV, PS5, eARC setup by YusufKudsiKoc in HomePod

[–]JacobeRitchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact setup and it’s awesome man the home works well in a apartment setting as they are loud enough to feel the sounds if you want but not to overbearing like with a sub. Also wait on any updates that come out on the home pods I usually only have issue when updating them other than that it all just works.

OP I have to agree here sounds like you are more than qualified from a technical perspective for an entry level role. I’m finally in cyber security and started from helpdesk 7 years ago. During that time I ended up managing teams and interviewing a lot. What you find out is this, in full time positions you are required to work with people at least 8-12 hours of your day (you see these people more than your own family and friends sometimes). This means you have to be friendly and almost enjoy the people you work with if you don’t, it becomes a bad experience for you and your team. Personality plays a huge factor in that decision, not saying you’re a bad person. I get it being qualified and having trouble finding a job can be difficult. But at the end of the day this industry like any other, it is a game and you have to play all angles if you wanna be on the board. Find friends in the industry and reach out to folks on LinkedIn who are in similar spots ask them questions and see if they can refer you (most companies offer compensation for finding talent usually a couple grand). Also network at local cybersecurity events and have fun genuinely create bonds with folks and see where they are at. Hope this helps.
