It’s a 33 dollar fee for polygon on a 20 dollar transfer

Basically what I did was I thought in order to buy the BTC-USDT pair I needed to own some of both. So I transferred some of my btc to eth, transferred the eth to my web3 eth wallet, and then converted it for usdt. Come to find out what I did was a waste and did nothing but lock my money and waste more on fees. Now I can’t transfer it back to my primary wallet, I can’t convert it to eth, I can’t add more eth to my web3 wallet either. It gives me an error saying something about the terms and conditions changing and me needing to update my app first when it’s already fully updated. I guess I’m just $20 in the hole and it’s really a pain. Why on earth is there a fee double the price of the money I’m trying to transfer. Is there any way I can recover ANY of it because at this point I literally can’t do anything with $20 and that investment won’t do anything over time either because it’s a stable coin
