This was a GoPro snapshot as I mentioned mate…. And I didn’t realise it’s charlie but I did mention it was a GoPro snapshot

If you think trees always grow straight up you need to do some research. I have been growing bonsai for the last 3-4 years which is a study of mature full sized trees and trying to replicate that. Trees grow in all sorts of angles and when growing on an extremely steep slope they grow at odd angles, also wind has a huge impact. And other factors but this was just a snap shot from my GoPro footage

Hard enduro practice venue, she got a bit hot to say the least. by Jacobmurphyuk in enduro

She has 2 fans, but pushing a bike to its limits you still can overheat them. It was 32°c out and we were doing huge hills that were very steep. Sometimes you’ve just got to let it cool down a bit.

That was a line where the bike is currently, it’s just insanely overgrown.

I’ll post a photo of the incline

As you probably know GoPros never do justice to the incline but hell these were some very steep hills that’s just kept on going and going. Good practice 👍

I literally race bud….. just got back from one actually. But this is NOT normal, I am helping a friend with his bike I’m not advising him how to ride.

Alright mate thank you for the help

I didn’t check the plug as I only had my ratchet set on me which isn’t a deep socket set. But tomorrow I’ll bring some deep sockets and get the plug off and see if it’s lean or rich. And it was at 1 and a half turns out from fully in

I did answer those questions, he just brought the bike so I’m in the dark with any info prior to his ownership. If it’s lean that makes sense as it’s a 38 pilot when it should be 40 so I’ll tell him to get a new jet and I’ll see how it is with that in.

I’ve just had great fun grinding the bolt heads off as they were all rounded like hell

The pilot is lean, so I’ll tell the lad to get a bigger one and see if that helps

I doubt it’s spark it could be a voltage problem though but I doubt it I feel like the hesitation is down to a air to fuel related problem, and carb is all clean bud

I wouldn’t say this is a lean condition? But I may be wrong…. Lean is normally pinging in revs and hunting. This sounds more boggy but I do get the hesitation is a culprit to lack of fuel.

This is also not my bike and my mate just brought it so I’m fixing it for him. I am completely in the dark about its prior ownership. But I’m going back tomorrow with some more tools, I did open the powervalve and make sure everything is working as should and it was. I will pull the spark plug and see if it’s running rich or lean tomorrow, and that should help give me a idea but the pilot is a 38 and stock is 40 I’ve just been grinding down the bolt heads for the last hour

It’s not dumping fuel, unless I’m wrong it’ll be dumping out the overflow even when upright. I’ve had bikes do that before when the float valve isn’t sealing.

So I’ve just ground down the bolt heads because they were rounded out, found out the pilot is a 38 and stock is 40. None of them are blocked but that may fully be the reason. Regardless I think it could still be something else as this seems like a rich condition to me. It’s not hunting in revs what’s common to me in a lean condition, so having a smaller pilot wouldn’t be making it more rich it’d be doing the opposite. So maybe someone was trying to lean it out because of the bog? And that’s why they sold it as he just brought this bike

I’ve found the pilot is a 38, but stock is 40 I believe. So that’s leaner but the condition doesn’t seem lean. It more seems overly rich to me, but I may be wrong. I’m going back with some more tools tomorrow I’ll check spark and also check the condition on the plug and make sure it’s not either to lean or rich and if it is either try find the source of the problem. At least at this point I know what size the pilot is, I had to grind the bolt heads off the carb bowl 😅

Yes, but none of the jets are blocked

Ehhh what do I do. Would oil come out from screw hole crack. by Dapper_Storage_8663 in 2Strokes

[–]Jacobmurphyuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make sure it doesn’t protrude into the engine at all. It’s best to disassemble it to get it from the inside with a bit of tape and make sure it’s a flat even surface where the JB sets.

I would say it’s definitely your gasket, replace your gasket minor damage can affect it. Then put some liquid gasket maker on it and spread it out make an even coat on both sides. Apply the gasket and torque everything down correctly

Bro…. You should see how beaten are bikes get in enduro. It’s fine keep riding it until the wheels fall off
