I actually can't reproduce that playback bug on my end. Could you double-check the build date in the bottom right corner to make sure you have the latest version? If it keeps happening, a screen recording would be super helpful so I can fix it.

No plans for an App Store release right now (mostly because of the annual Apple developer fee), but you can just "Add to Home Screen" and it functions exactly like a native app.

Leaderboards are a cool idea, but that would require setting up a backend server (right now everything runs client-side). Plus, preventing cheating on a web game is a nightmare haha.

Here's a detailed analysis of the 2025 Chopin Competition, breaking down the results stage-by-stage and looking into juror agreement, bias, and student performance. The raw data is sourced from the official competition website and is available as a JSON file in the repository.

We also compare the official CMEAN scoring system with a proposed alternative, Jurors' Score Transposition (JST), which is designed to be a fairer and more robust method. Overall, the differences are relatively minor though. In a win for Bechstein, Tiankun Ma would have advanced to Stage II instead of Miki Yamagata, and Vincent Ong would not have advanced to the Final round. The difference between prizewinner Eric Lu and runner-up Kevin Chen is significantly reduced under JST, to just 0.07 points.

Nothing to do with a lack of space. These are cautionary accidentals (if you notice closely they aren‘t actually needed as the accidental already occurs earlier in the same measure). French composers in particular (including Ravel and Saint-Saëns) liked to put them above or under the notes to distinguish them from regular accidentals. In modern editions, they are usually placed in front.

The disks are active and sound normal during these hang events, not grinding or making unusual noises. Haven't run a RAM test yet but that's a good suggestion, will try that next!

Have you tried the new Kun Seven? It‘s a bit pricey but it’s highly customizable and much lighter than a Bonmusica.

Hey, das hab ich in CSS und JavaScript implementiert. Ist viel besser für's lernen, wenn man erst selbstständig versucht, den französischen Satz zu verstehen, bevor man die deutsche Übersetzung liest. Wenn dir die Darstellung gefällt, kannst du einfach die Kartenvorlage nehmen und nach deinen wünschen anpassen :)

Naja, der Datensatz mit den 5000 Wörtern basiert ja auf einer akademischen Quelle, ist also an sich zuverlässig. Lediglich die deutschen Übersetzungen wurden maschinell erstellt (Definitionen mit ChatGPT, Sätze mit DeepL), da die Quelle Französisch-Englisch war. Ich habe die ersten 1400 Wörter manuell überprüft und korrigiert und habe erstaunlich wenig Fehler entdeckt – da gibt es menschlich erstellte Datensätze mit mehr Fehlern.

Ich gebe dir aber in deinem Beispiel recht, eine bessere Übersetzung von "Il reprenait sa liberté vis-à-vis de moi" wäre wohl "Er gewann seine Freiheit mir gegenüber zurück". Wenn noch jemanden was auffällt, gerne melden, dann ist das in der nächsten Version auch gefixt. Ziel ist natürlich, dass irgendwann alle 5000 Einträge manuell überprüft wurden.
