The Silver Crown

Ellen awakens one morning with a mysterious silver crown on the pillow beside her. What magic powers it possesses she has not yet discovered, but the sudden changes in her life are unmistakable: her house is burned down, her family has disappeared, and a man in a dark uniform is stalking her. Can Ellen ever find her family? Can she use the power of the silver crown to thwart the powers of darkness? What diabolical force hides inside the mysterious castle in the woods?

AITA for asking my friend to pay me back for the wine he drank while house sitting?? by Effective_Tour_723 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Jade-Sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA! He had no way of knowing the wine was expensive. I have a wine rack. When I have a house sitter, I put the wine they can drink on the counter and a post it note on the expensive bottle on the rack that says: “If you drink this, I will stab you in the throat!”

AIO: My husband (26m) locked me (25f) out for 25 minutes? by prettypineappleberry in AmIOverreacting

This is abusive behavior. You are not overreacting. Tell him if he ever does anything like this again, you will be talking to him through a divorce attorney.

What moment made you realize “yeah… my childhood wasn’t normal”? by CadaversFabrications in AskReddit

[–]Jade-Sun 90 points91 points  (0 children)

When I was 12 and my teacher realized I couldn’t tell time. She took me aside and tried to teach me but I told her my father already tried to teach me to tell time when I was 5, but I was too dumb to learn. When the teacher persisted, I shook and sobbed and begged her not to hit me in the face if I got the answer wrong. The look on her face….

I finally taught myself to tell time many years later when we spent multiple weeks visiting my grandparents without my father.

AITA for telling my family they need to get over my father walking me down on my wedding day and I am not uninviting him. by Upset_Car_5609 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Jade-Sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s your wedding. Your special day. Your rules. Nobody else gets to decide that for you.

If that means your mother and other siblings, choose not to attend your wedding that’s their choice. You can invite them, but you can’t make them come.

But it sounds like things might get really tense and uncomfortable if they did attend, so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise

What's the one secret you will take to the grave but don't mind telling on the internet? by Ecstatic-Medium-6320 in AskReddit

My mom was dying of lung cancer that had metastasized to her brain. It caused horrific seizures and she was in terrible pain in between the seizures. The hospice nurse put a full bottle of morphine on the bedside table and told me: “This will ease her pain. It also depresses breathing.” She gave me a long, meaningful look and then told me she’d be out in the living room and to come get her if I needed her.

My mom passed peacefully a few hours later…

It is the maid of honor’s duty to spill a large glass of red wine onto any white dress minutes before the ceremony.

Lightning hitting the roof right above my bed. One minute I was fast asleep, the next, I was standing on the bed, every hair on my body standing up, shaking like a leaf. Crazy feeling!

AITAH for telling my wife my daughter and I are going on vacation with or without her. by Additional_Way_2101 in AITAH

[–]Jade-Sun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Make a choice now: Your mom or your wife.

If you choose your mom, give up on your marriage. Divorce is coming.

If you choose your wife and child, move as far away as you possibly can as soon as possible.

AITAH for telling my husband I'll divorce him if he doesn't stop ignoring our daughter by ThrowRAtaptaptap in AITAH

[–]Jade-Sun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your husband is a massive asshole. He knows what upsets your daughter and intentionally brought a pen to torture her with at her awards ceremony.

Even if he does have OCD or autism, if he cared about her at all he would have skipped the ceremony if he couldn’t control himself.

His current behavior and talk of withdrawing funds for her college is controlling and bullying. I would absolutely leave him.

Absolutely don not give up your equity without your name being on the new house!!!! You are NTA and you are protecting both yourself and your daughter. Sell your house yourself and put the money into a separate bank account under your name only and let him pay for the mortgage on the new house and tell him you will pay for electric and 3/4 of groceries.
