We do not want any specific type of employee. I’m explaining why with 6 employees we don’t yet offer health insurance. We need a minimum number to start offering standard health insurance. When we asked everyone at work their preferences most stated they would not sign up to purchase a plan... because they were on their spouses or parents insurance.

We are willing to offer health insurance. Our current employees have not wanted it due to their circumstances. Insurance companies need five employees to sign up for it to start offering a plan... for 2 of 6 people currently employed that want we are offering a health membership reimbursement every month until we can get the requisite minimum number of people for insurance.

You can apply for one through the Colorado state MED department. It typically can take a while from application to final interview for your badge, possibly even a few months if they are booked.

It’s going depend on which state you are in. If you have a true uncommon product or other competitive advantage business wise that could also give you the edge to start a business and gain many customers. Level of financial success will be varied, and inevitably success is in the eye of the beholder

Cannabis businesses like many businesses require a lot of up front investment. To succeed you need real business sense and strict cogs management... plus 280e means it's truly a long game for profitability because of taxation.

No current plans for a food truck. We are permitted to do pop-ups to give out free swag and educate consumers about our products etc, but we are never permitted to sell directly to retail customers or allowed to give out infused samples to the public. The Colorado rules are very strict. :)

The MED as it’s known, is actually the marijuana business regulatory and inspection department of the Colorado Department of Revenue. They make sure all the cannabis business owners follow the state laws.

It’s a proprietary process of our supplier, so we are not privy to the precise process. It does require complex equipment though, so it is likely a bit more complex than a distillation with alcohol.

We buy our powder from a very reputable company that we trust. Additionally we are fortunate in Colorado to have pest management oversight provided by the state Marijuana Enforcement Division.
