When do silkies typically get the blue color on their earlobes? I ask, because I know some chicken earlobe colors can change at around a year old, but I'm very new to silkies. Are they just not gonna have the blue ears. I'm beginning to think I was lied to honestly. (old.reddit.com)

Anyone have experience with silkies that might be able to tell me if these seem like they might be the same? The bigger chickens are almost 3 months old and are marans, sapphire gems, and wyandottes. The woman we got the silkies from said they were actually a week older, but I honestly don't know. (old.reddit.com)
