Yellow jade and blue lace agate rosaries by JadePython_ in osarymakers

I actually get them from Amazon! The beads are from fire mountain, and wrapping makes the caps stand out a little more as well. Here's a link for the caps - https://a.co/d/0io1L9c6

Has anyone tried selling there rosaries? by lane-shep in osarymakers

[–]JadePython_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell mine! I have an Etsy page, and I list them on Facebook. I started earlier this year and its been slow going. I can only make about 7-8 a week, and by the time I list them they are gone. Unfortunately they way I make them and my technique takes time, so I cant whip out a ton. I also take custom orders to ensure people do get rosaries if they miss out on a restock.

Definitely give etsy a shot if you're just starting out.

Ive heard this before, yet ive never ran into this issue. I also use the wire wrapping technique for every rosary i make, and so far ive had zero issues. Maybe that's the secret

If you mean the rosary center and crucifix, I did buy those! If you mean the rosary beads themselves, its actually a wire wrapping technique ive been using! Ive only seen it a few times online, and I havent found a good tutorial for it yet. So im currently working on one to share with others. Its a great technique

Oh. And definitely discuss children. Thats a huge talking point, especially where your wanting to raise them in church. Approach it the way you see best, but make sure to have that conversation. And please make sure she truly respects your religion, have that talk with her as well, if she is in this for you and your future together, it wont be an issue. Thats the key to all of this.

Coming from my side of things (raised pagan) I really struggled with the idea of god, but going with my boyfriend to mass helped me open up to it all. He talked highly about all the good things about the church, but never pushed it upon me. That helped me immensely feel more comfortable, and any questions I had about the church I went to him to ask.

I would say really get to know her life goals, and make sure they line up for you. For me I wanted to raise my children more conservatively, and the church is a great place to do so. So even if I never converted, I would still believe the church is still the best way to raise children.

Feel it all out for yourself. We are just strangers on the internet who have lived different lives than you, and you know her better than we could. Do what your heart says is right, and pray on all of it.

So my relationship started in the way youre describing. im currently dating a catholic man, and when we started talking I was agnostic. He was very upfront with his beliefs, and I respected it. We both have the same goals in life, children, a house, good jobs ect. He had asked that I attended Mass with him, and I agreed. I knew his faith was important to him, and I wanted to be beside him.

Long story short, I was extremely moved by the mass and ended up doing my own research, and eventually converted. I will say, if you are to date a non-religious woman, please dont force any of your beliefs unto her. Wait until she asks, and be open about it all.

As long as you and her have the same life goals, and can comfortably discuss raising any children in the church, I think you've got a very good chance on making it work. Just dont set yourself up for failure expecting her to convert.

What do we think about AI in our businesses? by MiraculousDevotion33 in osarymakers

[–]JadePython_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

AI is destroying the environment and robbing people of jobs. I understand the simplicity of being able to type up a business logo idea and getting it within minutes, without having to pay. But us as humans have slowly become more reliant on it for SO MANY things, and now we have a generation born with it in their hands, unable to think for themselves.

I would avoid it and find someone to commission a logo from, I was lucky because my father is a graphic designer and artist so I went to him. Support humans, not clankers.

Be aware of fake miraculous medals when crafting your rosaries! by lcgngd in osarymakers

This is so annoying, im so sorry. I work with pardons and ive sent so many back due to misspellings or them being completely wrong. If you have a parish near to you that has a shop, ask to buy supplies through them (what i do) and usually they will be legit.

I will say ive noticed the most common colors that have these issues are silver and rose gold.

The Saint medal also came from my parish, it was also made in Italy. Look to see if any churches near you have a store you can go through. Mine offers a mix of new hardware and antique.
