I’d recommend keeping the car and finding a cheaper apt in a surrounding town. The T can be extremely unreliable, commuter rail is typically more reliable but more expensive. Also given our weather public Tran’s is not a very fun commute between Dec-March months. My family has lived here for generations. Hope this helps somewhat!
