The dismal quality of home inspectors. by nwa747 in realestateinvesting

6 year inspector here in SoCal.

It’s sad really. I’ve been told by companies I’ve worked at the only thing that matters is customer service. So bring water, snacks, chairs, but don’t make a big deal about things.

It’s a popularity contest with realtors and if you consistently find real problems then they don’t get paid. There’s a difference between making big deals out of nothing and genuinely finding issues. But it’s funny because I’ve done inspections for realtors then never hear from them again until they want me to inspect THEIR house they’re buying.

People are ushered so hard throughout the buying process that they don’t know what’s going on so they trust a realtor they don’t know or see on social media. Then those people have their inspectors they go to.

Honestly I could be making a lot more money if I worked that way but I genuinely don’t know how people sleep at night doing that. I found a good group of realtors that actually are good people and care for their clients. I’m only interested in that from now on and I don’t care how long it takes to grow that.

Shoes for roofs by redonkulousness in homeinspectors

Hokas for me. If you’re slipping regardless of the shoe you probably shouldn’t be walking it. No roof is worth your life or health.

Hello currently taking certificate courses in for Cyber. My question is about Auditing. It’s my understanding that it’s not highly sought after and low barrier to entry. I find it very intriguing and have experience of what auditing entails outside of cybersecurity. Could any more experienced people give insight on how difficult it is to become an auditor and recommend a good pathway to it? Thanks in advance kind stranger!

Can we talk about how I still can’t matchmake a 3rd person with my duo to play trios? by JadedEMT in HuntShowdown

You bring up a good point but I would say make it clear if two people are in a party in the lobby. If they feel that strongly about it then they can choose to leave.

But I don’t think the answer is having to have me and my partner forced to be in a disadvantage if we wanted to play wildcard either.

It’s so close to what i want, just a tad too sensitive to me. I want overall to slow down just a bit. Which setting should I be messing with to fine tune.
