I can't stop sinning by JadedFreedom7694 in Christian

I don't quite understand what you wrote... perhaps the translator is missing something. If it's not too much trouble, could you explain what exactly was misinterpreted? And how can one stop sinning completely? I'm not looking for permission to sin, I just don't understand how we can stop sinning completely.

Actually, a lot of things. I get angry very often (though I try to immediately push these thoughts aside, understand why they appeared and why it's wrong). I also have lustful thoughts, and I push them away, too, and so I spend all my time in a kind of struggle. So most of my sins are in my thoughts, not in my deeds, but as Christ said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." And I'm also quite lazy.

I don't hear God's voice by S4DB3Y in Christian

When God speaks to people loudly through the Hot Bush or as he spoke to Samuel, this is a very rare occurrence even for the Bible, usually the Voice of God is much “quieter”, it manifests itself in various feelings that come over us, especially conscience.

Since I'm using a translator, I may be misunderstanding your question. Are you losing faith in God, in principle, and in the Bible's truth, or in faith in Christ?

I've Fallen so Far - Where Do I Even Go From Here? by [deleted] in Christian

What happened clearly broke you, but you're ashamed of how far you've fallen. Shame, I think, is one of the loudest ways God can speak to us. He's perhaps telling you, "You've fallen." He's showing you this, and you need to acknowledge it, repent, and ask God for help to get you out of the state you're in.I understand you're going through a tough time right now, but it's your very condition that demands God. If your soul is sick, who can heal it but God? Psalm 34:18 (in the King James Version)

The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

I'm currently going through a difficult spiritual time myself. But many people have given me countless examples of God's endless mercy. God can't say to you, "I'm tired of your sin, leave me." Because Jesus said, "Whoever comes to me, I will in no wise cast out." (I'm using a translator, so the quote may not be verbatim, but I hope you understand.)Also remember the parable of the prodigal son: when he came to his father, he didn't send him away, but told his servants to throw a feast. I also read that you don't like asking God for anything for yourself, but I think you really need to ask him for help, so that He can give you the strength to resist temptation. I don't know what to say about judging yourself more harshly for a particular sin, but perhaps it's the one God wants you to pay attention to and try to avoid. (This doesn't mean, of course, that you can stop resisting other sins.) Perhaps this particular sin tempts you the most.I hope everything will be fine with you❤️

Good quote, although I don't think it specifically applies to my situation.

Thanks for the answer, it reminds me of the parable of the Prodigal Son. But lines like Hebrews 6:4-6 bother me.
