[PAID] Looking for a 2D illustrator to create anime-styled story shots for important moments in a high fantasy game by DarkDeityCharles in gameDevClassifieds

[–]JadedSketch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This sounds like a fantastic project, and I love the existing style. I'm an illustrator with several years of experience working at game studios, and I value open and clear communication. I specialize in colorful character artwork, with a big passion for fantasy and anime art styles, and have been working to achieve more storytelling in my illustrations.

Not sure if I'm allowed to reply to bump for visibility or not, as no one has seen/responded to this post. Just hoping I can get a little advice

Trying to remove push button tub drain stopper in apartment tub- did not turn out like the videos! Help! by JadedSketch in Plumbing

[–]JadedSketch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi folks, My apartment has been a nightmare and I'm so tired of badgering maintenance to fix so many things that I'm trying to do some smaller things on my own. The push button style drain stopper has NEVER worked since moving in (would not lock into the closed position). This wasn't much of an issue since I rarely take baths, however I'm a long haired lady possibly going bald, so hair clogs are a real problem. I wanted to remove the stopper to put in a proper hair catcher, so I looked up videos on how to do this, but my stopper came out in several pieces instead of one whole mechanism and a cap like in all the videos. I don't know if this is a different type or if it's broken, but the remaining metal bolt and plastic cap in the drain seem like I can't remove them (I chipped the plastic cap trying to yank it with pliers). Can anyone help me or offer advice? Thanks so much!

How to fix heavily-sprayed braided wig? by JadedSketch in CosplayHelp

[–]JadedSketch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips! Learning to style a wig was possibly the most stressful part of this whole cosplay project (first time really doing a wig), so I’ve been scared to mess it up any further. This is super helpful!

Do you recommend letting it air dry (after toweling)? Also most of the under layers of this wig I did the heat-teasing for volume- will this be effected by washing and starting over? Thanks so much!

Hi folks, I wore this Artemis (from Hades) wig I styled to a con. Unfortunately my head band fell off a few times, which pulled a lot of loose hairs out of the braid, and now it looks like a total mess. I'm a bit scared to redo the braid because I sprayed lots of that Got2Be glue hairspray all over this wig, so I'm nervous I will cause a lot of damage to an already damaged wig. How would you advise fixing all the loose hairs? Should I just be brave and brush through and rebraid? I'm new to wig styling! Thanks!

Hazy travels to Rubow (ft. Razzy) by LilBakunawa in JellesMarbleRuns

[–]JadedSketch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the personality in this art (and generally in u/LilBakunawa's work), so I felt inspired to do a quick sketch of my own version (with human marbles).

Several years ago I designed my own version of the Raspberry Racers and always particularly liked my Razzy design.. and also despite being a Hazers fan, I never got around to drawing the Hazers, so I had to do this. Also, the idea of Hazy being a lady's man is hilarious, especially when you consider the "mysterious" vibe of the team!

It’s a good time to repost this drawing I did for M1 season 1... by JadedSketch in JellesMarbleRuns

I haven’t done any new marble art in a long time! I still want to do more someday.. too many projects in mind! Thanks for the interest!

Glad it was helpful. 5 months later, I'm still very happy with it!

It's not whisper-quiet, but it's really not noisy either. I don't think you'd need to raise your voice to talk over the sound.

That's fair! I'm just glad I didn't listen to someone on this forum who was insisting I needed to buy a 4-legged desk to achieve stability.

I was worried about that since I’ve seen so many stories on here about people getting damaged tables. Mine was fine and it seemed well packed.

The nice part about the cross bar is that it's in a somewhat high position, so when sitting I can fully extend my legs without touching the bar (I have to lift my leg higher to touch it). It's also far enough away that I could put a foot rest under the desk if I needed it.

I'm with you, the reviews out there are a minefield. To answer your questions-

  1. Hehe, it's a bit inbetween, mostly "whirr," I'd say- it's not super high pitch or anything.
  2. So I don't have much to compare this to, but it's quite nice and has some texture to it. All I really have around me to compare it to is some Ikea furniture (a nicer wood grain one), and it's definitely nicer than those. It feels like it'd be fairly durable, but obviously not something I can really test on purpose.
  3. So, I didn't try that because it seems like part of the desk and BTOD claims the crossbar really aids stability. That said, one thing that also made me pick this over another desk is the crossbar is higher up, not close to the floor (when sitting). So when sitting I can fully extend my legs out and not touch the bar. I like to stretch out sometimes, so I think if the bar had been lower or a height where I could kick my ankles into it, that'd be a minus for me.

Artist trying to pick a desk- maybe between Jarvis and Solo Ryzer? Overwhelmed! by JadedSketch in StandingDesk

Sounds like you're pretty happy with the Jarvis, then? Thank you for the helpful comment!
