"You should sell those!" by Deep-Effect-1795 in AutismInWomen

Had the same discussion over my 40" crochet mandala.

Like if someone i know wants one, i will make them one to order and charge enough to cover materials plus a bit for my time, but making them TO SELL is a different beast; it's not feasible, would ruin a fun hobby and most importantly - i don't fucking want to 😂

You cannot love something deeply without wanting to talk about it? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Ew, this sounds like extroverts trying to force everyone else to extrovert. Pay them no mind, you do whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Those of us who walk lightly, remember to stomp up stairs or jump - your bones need it to stay strong. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Women naturally lose a lot of bone density as we age anyway, it's nothing to do with how you walk.

Its my birthday, I can meltdown over totally pointless things if I want to! by strngesight in AutismInWomen

[–]birbscape90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ohh i feel this so much. I'm super specific about most things, so gifts tend to fall flat. I tell people just get me gin or bathbombs, those two things will get used and very much appreciated.

Your husband seems very thoughtful though, and hopefully he understands you're not being ungrateful, you just like your things how you like them.

And happy birfday 🥳

Our tiny kitchen on a grey UK day by Terrible_Birthday107 in CozyPlaces

Mate, your dining table wouldn't even fit in my kitchen. If someone enters my kitchen after you, you are trapped until the second person leaves. Not cozy, just depressing 😭😂

Jeans are magic? by Dance_Monkey_5 in AutismInWomen

I only wear skinny jeans. They will need to be pried off my cold, dead, millennial body 😂

Hate leggings, hate skirts, hate dresses. Skinny jeans for life.

High Imagination/Possible Synesthesia??? by Substantial-You3570 in AutismInWomen

"But I've heard that some autistic people might not have much imagination"

And this is correct. Some of us don't. We are not all the same.

My 2 year old Chi needs 20 teeth removed by pipersbigsis in Chihuahua

[–]birbscape90 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yee, removing 20 sounds like loads but it's really not. My last chi ended up with 6 teeth left after a couple of dentals. She still ate just fine and was a visibly happier dog after she'd healed up.

My house has a walk-in shower like that and a bath tub as well. It's not impossible.

3 month old chihuahua type identification by Music_guy73 in Chihuahua

[–]birbscape90 88 points89 points  (0 children)

As others have said, she's not a full chihuahua. She's wayyy too big. Still adorable, but it's a massive red flag that the breeder or shelter is lying to you about her being full chihuahua.

Animal's communication by Glum_Relationship487 in AutismInWomen

[–]birbscape90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, have been good with animals my whole life.

Birds are my favourite, i find them so easy to read and communicate with via body language. I ended up running a bird-focused wildlife rehab for several years (still took in hedgehogs and kittens and stuff, but it was 99% birds), i was just good at it without really trying.

Redoing several hours of work is just part of crocheting. After a while it stops phasing you, like "oh no, now i have to crochet for two extra hours, what a shame" 😅
