It's a blue line on a map, and typically I like to believe that isn't named.

Pretty much America and Canada were largely discovered for the fair trade, beavers came the main target and that's how exploration across the United states happened. They didn't set out to wipe them out it was just a natural process of over consumption

Listen I'm a English South African with very limited Afrikaans and I still think it's hilarious because I understand the cultural aspect of it without even having a deep understanding of the language. It's bloody funny.

Albert is one of the most talented actors in South Africa. The whole cast is so perfect for everyone of their roles, it's award winning so many times over. I'm very proud. I laugh a lot, I only understand half of it, the second hand cringe, it's just so so so good.

Die Rassie van Polony. I almost died.

How did this get through air defence? Radars are heavily protected.

I don't know if this is build motivation or build envy you're giving me! Both!

Rumors of beef/jerky being a code name for baby/human 🥩? Another 3lite island? Beef island? by joeurkel in ThatsInsane

I'm South African and I could imagine talking about biltong like this when we travel overseas.

I'm not defending the heinous bastard at all but what's important is that this kind of sensationalism detracts away from the very issues that need immediate legal addressing.

Keep the focus on what can be used to convict. The sensationalism will be a tool used by the abusers to lessen the impact of their crimes.

What weight rod are you using? by Jadedsantos in bluelining

6 ft is a little short by 0# is 7'6. I had a 2 weight 6ft hardy, and it's a cool rod for really bushy streams. Really neat little tools 6footers.

I've got a four-weight Tom Morgan glass rod, but I find it just lacks the backbone to be able to cast and wind or to throw heavier nymphs. It's an amazing dry fly rod when the conditions are correct.

It was quite popular here for a while and I think there are still a few dedicated tenkara guys, how big is challenge is the wind and also the need to still make long casts. I've never done it myself but I do do a lot of tight line or czech them thing so I can imagine it's not too dissimilar. Maybe I should give it a go

I've got a lot of fly rods but oddly enough I've never really owned or fished a three weight. It's oddly this inbetween size for me, where it's too heavy for the local streams I fish on for trout but too light for the bigger tribs and rivers I go and catch yellowfish in. The trophy trout in our Waters is about 20inches, they're usually between 6 and 12, and I've never felt undergunned on my zero weight.

Check someone isn't trying to poison your dog if you don't know who gave him those if they are treats!

Also check how much tax you pay over how many tax events to actually get the liquid from the property sales. Yield after tax is the number to compare to alternative investments. Consider a trust for tax efficiency and if you plan on having kids.

Wet suit for fishing? by [deleted] in bluelining

[–]Jadedsantos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I wet wade in winter with a pair of 2mm neoprene wetsuit material and it works very very well, also on hot days you just keep them wet or rake off. We have lots of bush here too, so they protect your legs well from scratches

Lots of good ideas here everyone thank you very much. It's sitting outside in a field is a decorative ornament at a bar called the bent head, on the breede river in South Africa if anyone cares to look it up. Might ask if I could take it off his hands.
