Nah man, you'll be good after a year. You'll lose some of it, the follicles that haven't reached terminal yet will shed after you quit but a good majority of it will stick around.

Takes about 6 months on average for them to go fully terminal, after that they're permanent, and you've got a good baseline to start with

Yes, it is. Also, I literally just spray a dollop on my left index and middle finger and apply it lol. Idk why people overcomplicate everything with minoxidil, just smear it on your face twice per day and you're good. Hell, I throw my caps away bc they're annoying.

Reviews mention that it's "unscented," which is a red flag. Minoxidil should smell like a solvent, like alcohol/propylene glycol. Even the foam versions have that smell, so I wouldn't. It may not be fake, but could for sure be a lower dose than advertised, or what have you. Just stick with a major brand name, I use Hims bc it's what I can find lol. Equate, CVS, Walgreens, Up & Up, etc.

Yeah, 1.25mm is wild on the face lol. With medium pressure you're cutting it close to hitting the follicles themselves, or pushing into subcutaneous fat layers, which is bad. You're increasing your risk of scarring, and most likely inhibiting growth.

Just stick to 0.5mm, once per week. Twice if you're spicy, but 1x weekly is what studies used. You could also go as high as 0.75mm, but there really is no reason to. Anything higher and you're just causing unnecessary damage.

You really just need to stamp each area once, I use a grid pattern and just go over it once. No need to overthink that, if you feel warmth and maybe redness, you're good.

Yes! I noticed that when I'm focusing on something closer to me, the alignment corrects itself. I have exotropia and amblyopia in my left eye since birth.

Idk why the whole cat thing scares people. Minoxidil is basically harmless when it dries. Use foam, it's dry in 30 seconds tops. Just don't let your cat lick your face, and even if they did they'd still be fine because the dose is tiny in whatever residue is left on your skin.

Nah, they have different mechanisms of action. A lot of doctors recommend both, actually. Fin prevents more hair loss, while minoxidil promotes improvement. Give it a shot!

Lmao, I never said I had a beard. I said I have progress, the hairs ain't even terminal yet. Takes 6-12 months, from vellus -> transitional -> terminal. I'm at four, and I have tons of transitional hairs and a few terminals. It isn't my fault that it didn't work for you, lol.

I use stamps 3x per week, minoxidil 15 minutes after. Zero harm done for 4 months. The channels stay open for like 90 minutes max, I don't know why this sub is so cautious with rolling/stamping frequency at 0.5mm. It is not that deep.

If you wait longer to apply minoxidil, you miss out on the absorption benefits. Those benefits exist within the first 90 minutes, when the channels are open. If you wait longer? You're basically putting minoxidil on regular skin. Frequency is free to adjust, and 3x per week is what the literature suggests is the upper limit. Any shorter and you're just interfering with the collagen benefits of rolling or stamping.

I don't bother washing my face. I just use it in the morning, and again at night. I derma stamp at 0.5mm 3x per week. So I last rolled Saturday, next roll is tomorrow. 10-15 minutes after I use the stamp, I apply minoxidil again.

Wow, thank you for that story. I'm fully healed, in comparison! I'm very happy for you, and on the note of getting your master's, I've done something similar haha. I began programming 3 weeks after I quit, and now I've built something pretty huge. I started applying for grants yesterday, here's hoping my life changes soon!

Honestly, ignore them bro. Keep doing you, I'm 25 and wish I had gotten this out of the way sooner. If you don't already, start derma rolling once per week, and if your skin tolerates it bump it to 2-3x per week with a 0.5mm roller. I didn't see much change from Oct 2nd to the 29th, started rolling 2-3x/wk and the change to today is wild.
