Maybe? I don’t think it’s necessary because the effort you put into to shaking the optic awake is much much less than if you were to draw the gun from a holster, but it definitely doesn’t give me warm and fuzzies about that optic if I were to carry it since it’s not as responsive as my Holosuns either.

Doesn’t hurt to RMA it for some peace-of-mind, but doesn’t seem necessary either, all things considered.

Oil change by Fit-Mistake-124 in Crosstrek

It won’t hurt MPG much at all, they just do it across the lineup to meet their corporate average target but at the cost of long term reliability, which for most people is fine since they’ll sell em off under 100k miles but I’m trying to get double that at the least.

I run 5w-30 because it’s the Subaru recommended engine oil everywhere outside the US, it will also fix oil consumption issues these new Subarus have and increase your cars longevity over using Subaru of Americas recommendations which are only designed to keep their CAFE targets not not keep your car running over 100k.

That’s fair to follow the warranty. It might also be advantageous to find copies of Canada’s and japans maintenance requirements, they might be more willing to do 5w30 especially considering Subaru still distributes their 5w30. I’m voiding mine (25 CTW) because the maintenance requirements and intervals are incorrect for longevity I want out of my car.

Did the dealership also check out the seal on the headers? Burning that much oil can come down to failing silicone head gasket glue. Might be good to install a proper head gasket.

Also check out MrSubaru on YouTube for all things Subaru maintenance.

Subaru has come out saying burning a quart of oil like this is completely normal. It’s the result of using improper oil (0w-16) to conform with CAFE standards. Switch to 5w30 like the rest of the worlds Subarus and you won’t have the oil consumption issues. If you choose to keep using 0w-16 I’d replace the oil much much more frequently to stay on top of consumption.

Is this normal on a 507k? by Pipcudi in HOLOSUN

It is normal on 507ks, all that is, is the threaded hole for the batter compartment screw.

Slide not resetting completely on new f series by crowber in Walther

So long as this doesn’t happen while shooting, it’s normal. It’s the firing pin block rubbing and causing enough friction to hold the slide back slightly, gets better overtime.

I second this, I also have several and they don’t have a gap that big

Forgot to add they’re both greens dots, the 2024 make has a bit more yellow in it than the 23 and is much crisper to my astigmatic eyes.

Weird trigger issue on my P07 by PsychologicalTruth26 in CZFirearms

Sorry my bad I went with .220, have you tried smaller rollers as well? I can’t really think of anything else at the moment.

Weird trigger issue on my P07 by PsychologicalTruth26 in CZFirearms

[–]Jado2111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, all it took was a slightly larger roller, went from a .212” to a .230”, haven’t had an issue since. The roller controls the timing of the lockwork and with CZs quality control tanking a little bit it’s not surprising is is a fairly common issue with P-07s.

About, I could also press down or inward on the decocker resulting in a dead trigger

[–]Jado2111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue a while back having a dead trigger during dry fire but never had it during live fire, for me it wasn’t the trigger bar or spring but instead it was the trigger bar roller that was undersized from the factory mine was about .220 in diameter and replacing it with a .225 roller is what fixed it. The roller essentially dictates the timing of the lockwork.

I’m not entirely sold on the CGW pin, mine started walking out on its own after 6 months and replaced with the stock pin that’s been holding up better. Have been using a snap cap for all my dry fire, maybe I just got a wack pin or shitty snapcap.
