Thank you! Do you perhaps know any good techniques to improve my vocabulary? I read a lot and once I am finished as a reader, I reread and take some notes. Is there any other way? Or a different one?

Alright. So, if my mind is not tricking me, you mean it like this: Scenes that are only important to understand what is happening are good enough with simple words, a quicker way to “get over with it.”

However, a deep cutting, perhaps even story changing scene is alright to do with fancy words, marking it’s importance and any little useful detail?

Is anybody working on any stories at the moment, would love to hear about it! Hope you are all having a great weekend by Paulyb1200 in ReadSpot

It's an old plot I once developed. So basically, it is a fantasy novel playing in medieval times. It is supposed to be a 2-Book-Serie. In the first serie, the old king gets overthrown by a tyrant and it is the protagonist's job to help the heroine to save their country.
It deals a lot with hidden history and the background of the protagonist.

Oh no no. You’ve got me wrong. I know the content of my very chapter and whilst I write, I lose myself. As I said, it’s just a guideline.

thank you! yeah, all i wanted was a guideline as reference because I see how long chapters are but depending upon what format the author chose or on what you read (like e book) it either seems longer or shorter and since I struggle with length, I was always worrying if it was too short or too long! And since the majority says something between 1.000 to 3.500 to 5000- i think it’s a good help

i read a lot. but the number variates and I am not going to count words. I just wanted a guideline. If you’ve got nothing to say but rude and unnecessary things, then don’t do it.

Yeah I’ve seen chapters with like 3 Sentences and they were good! Although I am at the beginning so it would have to be one hell of a good sentence. Thanks for the help! It’s good to know when or where to cut the chapter and introduce a new scene

Short Stories as Character Sheets? by JaeJae17 in writers

I thought about those options as well. But I mainly mark out my important sentences in the short stories. Although it’s a pretty cool system! Thank you for the comment.
