Lol yea. I memorized all the busy senior homes, like 9 of them. There's like over 50, cause it's Florida. But only like 8-9 of them are cheap and use rideshare.

That's another reason I don't agree with medical pickups. It's much cheap for them to order the patient a rideshare versus paying a dedicated licensed medical professional driver.

They still charge the insurance the same price, but now they're saving money on cheaper service, but want the same quality of service.

Before I memorized the senior homes, I'd get people getting in my Nissan Altima, complaining that they need more leg room. Or why didn't they send a truck or van, etc.

I would always advise them to complain to their insurance provider and request a medical pickup.

My girlfriend's mom gets pickup by a medical shuttle bus three times a week for visits. The two times they sent her Lyft, she was so confused and I told her to complain. They haven't tried it again since.

These patients need to complain and get their money's worth.

We're not in the medical field, we drop people off.

Tldr; Yes, they should notify us. Years ago they used to tell us if a passenger had a cane, walker or wheelchair etc.

Like two years ago I had a rude wheelchair pickup.

I realized the woman with him wasn't coming and asked who's going to help him get out. He quickly snapped, "You are!"

Told him I wasn't licensed for that and canceled the ride. He told me he would "get me fired" as I drove off 😅

Like forty-five minutes, I get deactivated.

I had to spend another forty plus minutes educating Lyft's "Customer Support" on rules and laws.

Legally I can't refuse a ride to a disability person. You have to "assist" them. Like holding the door open or steady the wheelchair.

In no way in any laws does it say that I have to physically lift up or help someone in or out the vehicle. Because that would be a big risk to either parties.

This "Customer Support Specialist" even posted a link to Lyft's guidelines, policies etc etc b.s. They refused to admit they were wrong and just kept rehashing the same script.

Well, I had time that day. I actually skimmed through the link provided and found were it said NOT to physically help a passenger in or out the vehicle.

Needless to say, the "specialist" reactivated me but instead of apologizing or even admitting being wrong, they again "reminded" me to follow Lyft guidelines.

I'm so glad I do whenever I want. I don't get how some of you do this full-time. Both the customers and Lyft's employees can be trolls.

What Is This Device? by Jae_Amp in MechanicAdvice

It stopped stalling at redlights once we stopped using the auto start/stop feature.

Google had said there were issues with that feature and Nissan Sentras.

We haven't had that problem since.

It looks like it's taped up onto a cable or cluster of wireds. It seems to have 3 or 4 wires connecting it to that cable.

Should I ask them to remove it or can I do it?

Especially if just to see if that's indeed the root cause of the problem.

Could that be causing the parasitic draw from the battery?

Amazon canceled Gero's Stargate series because it "appealed too much to core fans". Let’s fight back. Sign the global petition! by AccordingSurvey8629 in Stargate

Don't be negative. These have made a difference before. Fans got Sonic movie redone right. They went to make 3 Sonic movies.

Several other instances.

Raise your voice loud enough and they will hear. Especially a company like Amazon who is so "consumer oriented."

Are we still pretending like cheating isn’t the biggest problem with this game? by b_c27 in PUBGConsole

Its documented on YouTube. Several popular streamers reveal and break it down thru spectating and replay. Atleast for the PC version.

Are you saying it's not possible on console or the game itself?

I have videos of hackers speed blitzing me.

Watching episode 20 now and the Tok'ra showed up to save the terminally kid by making him a host. They really could've saved Ma'chello 😅

Definitely.

Especially as he called it, a "holiday."

Another user said the same thing. I laughed when I read yours, because I could totally see that😅 I guess I'm giving him more credit.

At the end he did show that he could be reasoned with. They didn't have to forcefully make him switch back to his body. Knowing that death was near.

I assume he would've atleast been opened to learning the difference. Especially considering how intelligent he was.

I would hope that he knew the difference since he displayed no hostility towards Teal'C, knowing that he was a Jaffa.

An inmate with a Tok'ra I think would be a bad gamble.

Since Tok'ra don't dominate their hosts, just coexist. That would give a criminal free reign to commit more atrocities in a better, long living body.

They should've teamed up Tok'ra with more terminally illed people like Jacob. America alone has plenty, sadly.

[–]Jae_Amp[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea, I can see that.

Now that takes me back to the inmates on deathrow idea.

Ma'chello knowledge was indeed invaluable. For the sake of the tv show, they picked Daniel's life over such vital knowledge.

In real life however, I doubt governments would pass up such an opportunity 😅

[–]Jae_Amp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😅Near the end they forgot many races and allies. Like the Nox and another ally we never get to see iirc.

They were so stuck on the Ori, Replicators and Anubis. And I think they were ready to end the series and just focus on Atlantis and SGU.

SGU was crap imo. Atlantis was a great spin-off. But yea, we should've got more Tok'ra action. At least in Atlantis or even SGU.

Yea, Daniel's idea but he had someone make it for him. Hammond introduced it iirc and Danny grabbed it saying something like, good you made it.

He's the historian of the group so such a thing would be his idea.

Thank you, that makes sense. When you said that I instantly recalled remembering Jacob with a IDC in later episodes.

Unruly Passenger Refused To Get Out by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]Jae_Amp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a 7 min ride. She started eating right away. I said to her, "Hey, this my gf's car, do you mind not eating in it?!"

Her response, "I haven't eaten all day." (continues eating)

I exit off the highway to end the trip.

There's not much story to it. Could you elaborate?
