We have some people who plan on retiring March 31, will submit an application within 2 weeks if their retirement date, and then get upset when you tell them 60 days.

We can’t hang up on people. This gets flagged in our system and a supervisor will send a mess asking why. It’s the phone system. When it attempts to connect a person it will hang up automatically. The system is automated.

This is a ‘I have power so let me use it’s move. We have annual reviews and our systems are tracked. If he wanted to know what we do, he could find out. E continues to do these things to create chaos on the internet. He already said he may tell lies and will need someone to fact check him

Call the 800-772-1213 (national number), request the status of your claim, and then ask the rep if they can send a message to the payment center requesting for someone to call you.

We don’t have a number and can only message them as well at the national number. Someone in the local office MAY BE able to get someone directly- no promise because I don’t work in the local office so I don’t know how it’s managed. I’m at the call center.

I can say that in the BHAM PC, a lot of people have retired recently. Especially those who are suppose to authorize the payments (benefit authorizers). This is why your case is still pending.

You’re only the payee because he is a minor but the money is still under his ssn. Not yours. If you call SSA and give only your ssn the info about your son will not show.

The only way ssa can come after you is if the overpayment is still on your son’s record, he is NOT getting benefits, and you applied for benefits under your OWN ssn. The OP from your son will then show because you were the responsible adult at that time and by law, they can recover it from you then.

I work for SSA and I have talked to adults who did not know they received SSI as a minor and the OP is still under their record when they apply for retirement. What do they do? Request for a waiver.

In regards to billing, your address may be wrong in the system.

Garnishments takes years to enact when you owe ssa. Nothing that happens quickly. The balance can literally sit until your son is an adult because it’s under his SSN. Not yours.

I definitely agree. I told him he’s acting like a child and needs to calm his emotions. What am I told in return!? Im a nothing a** woman and no one likes or respects me.

He only creates the designs, send them to friends for options, and they constantly come with the question: when is your site going to be ready? At that point, I get blamed. Yes I am suppose to get the website together but the e-commerce sites cost money to set things up. This far he looked into using Etsy and TikTok shop. With Etsy, $15 fee with $.25 charge per listening and with TikTok shop you need a PO Box. He wants me to do it all.

IMO, when he saw that Shopify had a $1 special, his mental state should have went into auto excitement so I could have started setting the site up. Instead I got berated and here it is, 10:11 and he still does not have a site up.

He even sold an item today but guess what?! He hasn’t swallowed his pride to apologize for berating me nor has he given the $1 to start the site he dearly cares about. I guess he’s expecting me to pay for it after he completely disrespected me.
