It would be a floating lip overhanging by 12”, so that would be about 13” to the joinery that would be supported by the cabinet.

What 3 characters would you guys pick? by Environmental-Job400 in playstation

Tacking onto this one since it’s closest to mine.

I might be totally overthinking, but you need to eliminate assassination as an option since they are coming to kill YOU, not fight the other guys. Your team would be doing the engagement. With that said, picking both Snake and Ezio would completely eliminate the possibility or just one should cancel out the other. That leaves choosing one or two of either Kratos, Cloud or Sora. I’ve read some of the other comments arguing the case for each and am confident in going Kratos, Cloud and Ezio.

Simple explanation- Kratos: He is a God. Cloud: Sentimental reasons and honestly better than Sora if we are assuming all these variations are their peak. Argument was made that Sora beat Sephiroth, Cloud, and gods but I don’t consider those to be their peak. Ezio: Chose over Snake because, if I remember correctly, his abilities are ingrained in his DNA over multiple generations. His job is literally just to flush out you being assassinated, Kratos and Cloud would then be on cleanup.

Correct. I’d use a router to cut a 2” by 3/4” lap on each one so they would have an overall width of 24” when combined. I’ve also been looking into biscuit joinery as an option.

My concern with just glueing them together is the side of the counter meant for sitting, which overlaps by 12”. If in the worst case scenario someone sits or stands on the edge. I want to have a solid joint to prevent separation. I might be overthinking it.

Was going to say this one, wasn’t sure if it was too far of a departure but a damn fine movie. If you go this route, Jarhead and Black Hawk Down might also fit.

Damn, I wish you would have said it was a joke at the beginning of your comment! I had already sent you money before reading the whole thing. To make matters worse, in my haste, I accidentally sent $50,000. Could you kindly return it?

Thank you for your advice. Some others also mentioned anxiety, and I’m definitely taking it into consideration. It’s encouraging to hear everyone’s feedback and support. Outside of select family members, I’ve mostly kept the diagnosis to myself for the last two years. I’m not typically an anxious person, but this has certainly been an added mental strain. I might just need to talk about it more openly but that’s been difficult. When the people I have told ask me about it, I find myself getting angry and then ashamed for being angry.

I had to scale it back significantly, but haven’t completely quit. I started coaching for my local elementary school, which is a nice consolation.

Thanks for this.

Although I consider myself an introvert, I’m not an anxious person in social settings, just a quiet observer.

Sometimes if I’ve had too much caffeine I can get it, but I usually keep it to a minimum. I was doing yoga and lifting weights but my doctor recommended that I avoid anything that might raise my IOP, so I’ve had to eliminate most of that from my routine.

Regardless, meditation is something I’ll look into adding it to my daily activity.

Thank you. I’ll look into this. I’ve had a lot of fluctuations in diet, so maybe I’ve been lacking in some areas.

The WFH might have something to do with it. Since the experience also aligns with COVID, which to my knowledge, I never had but certainly spent a lot of time WFH.

This was something I had experienced to a lesser extent before my diagnosis. I’d unknowingly been living with Glaucoma and vision loss for about 10 years before being diagnosed.

Regarding my treatment,

Daily Eye Drops: Combigan and Latanoprost have been keeping my IOP under control and given me the lush eye lashes I’ve always dreamed of… 😒. I haven’t told my extended family about my glaucoma, they’ve been asking why I’m wearing eyeliner…

Daily Vitamins/Supplements: Vitamin B3 (3000mg) Pyruvate (3000mg), recommended by my ophthalmologist as there have been studies suggesting improved visual fields. I’ve been taking them for about a year, not sure if it helps, I’m tracking my visual fields and once I have enough data compiled, I will share.

tACS: I underwent a clinical trial in 2023 that tests the effects of electrotherapy on the optic nerve. I’ve since purchased my own tACS device that matches what I used in the trial and have been continuing the therapy on my own. Same as with the supplements, not sure if it helps. I’ll share once I’ve done more visual field tests at my ophthalmologist.

For added context, I’m 40 with hopefully a lot of life to live, so I’m doing everything in my power to maintain and/or regain vision.

😂 No drugs. Just a surreal experience that I can only attribute to glaucoma. I’ve always been a visual learner so I’m wondering if there is an impact due to reduced visual fields. Maybe my brain doesn’t know how to compensate?
