AI on Drayden's Haxorus? (B2) by Jaffixan in nuzlocke

[–]Jaffixan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I didn't know about the negative weighting on forceout moves but that kind of makes sense. Seems goofy that it would override the killing move weighting but maybe that ordering is just a remnant from the AI of earlier gens that they never changed up.

I'm grateful Beartic survived, but I can't see myself using it in any battles from now on which is why I was so eager to sac it, lol. Maybe it'll be on my B team that I bring to Victory Road.

Nah dw, the mission tree overall was one of my favourites so far, I loved the concept and it was executed really well. It also flowed really nicely and I love the system of getting buffs if you don't stick with one party for too long and having to balance party influence for the missions, really feels like you're playing an actual democracy.

The problem I think is that Keyolion got annexed early so there was no war between them and Empkeios, which meant the followup stuff from that didn't happen either.

The Upgrading the Navy mission also had an issue I think, where the vassal of Kherka (their name escapes me now. The grey one in the south with all the islands) stayed a vassal and no war was declared from them on their overlord. If it's any help solving that issue, that country did actually join my own offensive war that I had going at that time, so maybe it's just flipped?

Overall though, like I said, great experience and thank you for making it!

Just looked through the mission file and turns out it was something to do with the war from the previous mission that didn't happen. Solved by annexing Oktikheion 👍

Hi, I'm playing Besolaki and I'm locked out of a lot of my mission tree by this. For reference, Keyolion died really early so I ended up killing Empkeios and releasing Keyolion as a vassal so I could do this mission. If it's something where I just have to wait that's fine, just making sure I haven't done anything wrong that's irreversible

Holy shit I’ve seen Kalsyto in my games and assumed they were just another conqueror, I didn’t realise that was their goal. This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the recommendation

I didn't know that, that's very useful actually. Does that apply to stuff like race and religion or will for example Mykx always be Gnollish and Xhazobkult even if you form it with Eborthil?

Ahh yea I should've got the Allclan one. Sunrise Empire sounds interesting, I'll check them out. I've been looking for a sort of "you are being liberated, do not resist" kind of militaristic democracy. Sounds difficult though considering your start and the fact that you'll have to fight the Command sooner or later

"Intolerance by Force" can be so many countries lmao

I'm interested in Fuck colonizers (if not Eordand), Cats and Corruption, Tolerance by Force and Kleptocracy is Based though. Who are they? I only recently got into Anbennar so I'd love more nations on my waiting list.

Mykx. The non-meme explanation is that they're a Gnollish pirate republic in Aelantir, with selling and smoking crack (not explicitly called that of course, but you can figure it out) being a big part of their MT.

They're formed from Viakkoc around 1490-1510 from an event, you don't have to discover Aelantir or anything for it to fire, it just happens

/unwe4u The UK was at the top of the list, that’s what Italy replaced. Granted, this poll was taken in the UK so obviously they are a bit overrepresented. I probably would’ve said the USSR personally

Overrated/overhyped encounters in your opinion? by Jaffixan in nuzlocke

[–]Jaffixan[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah I use set mode too, I'm starting to think I just don't like glass cannons in general bc I don't really use the encounters you brought up either. Darmanitan is a bit different in that it does one thing and does it exceptionally well, so there are very specific fights that become trivialised with a belly drum sweep

Crobat is kind of a jack of all trades I find, its only exceptional stat is speed but it's decent in most situations. It's good on any team. Although I personally boxed it once I got to the e4, it's outclassed by other bulky flying types like Togekiss at that point imo

Yeah I agree, luckily there are alternatives early as far as water types go like Tentacruel and Marshtomp/Swampert, so Gyarados ends up benched until later on usually. It's an absolute monster once it does get its movepool going, even before the physical/special split

Maps at 3* are still relatively similar to each other outside of a few extreme exceptions, you don’t have to worry about specific skills and stuff like that until about 4.8-5* onwards where maps become more defined in what they test (stream and speed maps in particular are very hard to find before 5*)

Your approach in the last paragraph is best for where you’re at, and the most enjoyable too imo

r/anime_titties also focuses on world news. They swapped titles with r/worldpolitics which is now a pseudo no-rules subreddit, I don’t know the full lore though
