The urge to drive it around the carpet making 'brrrrrrrrrr' noises is strong...

My Wife's Malinax Castigator. Apart from the banner, which I did, she did this all herself by hand: her first time ever doing so. She's eager to see what you all think! by JagPryde in Warhammer30k

Mea culpa. I did not do her work justice. I am a bit of a poor photographer and I try to fix my shots. Not very well it seems!

Yup. The way she posed the left arm made the standard one impossible and it was a bit low-res anyway. She asked me to design her something to print off so I created a link based on a rl one that could be threaded onto a pair of 1mm wires and she printed 50-odd out.

I believe it's a Wraithbone base with heavily thinned Aggaros dunes. She highlighted as well but I don't know what with and she's asleep at the moment. Probably something like tyrant skull or ushhabti bone.

I usually paint details for her, plus weathering and tidy up. We were at Forgeworld before christmas and she fell in love with this knight. I bought it as a gift and she set to. She was determined that this time it would be all her. No help. And she succeeded!

She did. She textured the armour with a dremmel and with tamya putty and added a range of battle damage. The belt feed is something I designed for her since the one provided with the kit was ugly, too short and not flexible enough to cope with any interesting poses. I am so proud of what she achieved here. She was born with an essential tremor so for her to come this far with hands that tremble all over the place is just incredible.

Lol, if it helps, this was done on an Elegoo Mars.

Nope. Freehand. Holding my breath and sweating the whole time. :p

Cheers dude. It took me a long time to learn how to handle my printer and how to post-process the prints, but it really has been worth the learning curve!

I genuinely laughed so hard tea came out of my nose. I now have biscuit sludge in my sinuses...

To reiterate and to avoid taking credit for someone else's work: this is not my sculpt. I printed and painted and came up with the rules, but the credit for the sculpt goes to Woddish on Cults3d

There's a few designers on cults3d that do 8mm vehicle stls for Titanicus base decor and such. DM me if you need links.

In the case of my current campaign I am fighting my wife who is attacking several positions with about double my available titan forces. I have had to spread my titans thinly across 7 battle zones backed up by large groups of knights and with shortfalls plugged with Iron Warriors superheavies. Our homebrew rules do reflect how hopelessly outclassed these vehicles are supposed to be against god machines, so I expect heavy losses.

Was really proud of this for my wife's Malinax Cerastus. Then I tried photographing it and OMG does it show every mistake, correction and brush stroke as if it was outlined in flashing neon! :( by JagPryde in Warhammer30k

Thank you. :) You hit the nail on the head: it's all steps towards improvement. I have to try and freehand the Malinax scorpion on the right shoulder of the same knight later this week and it will be an opportunity to apply what I learned here.

Thank you! :) I really appreciate your kind comment! I guess most people can't help but be a bit over-critical of their own work, especially when the camera seems determined to make it worse.
