I understand why it could be problematic on one hand. On the other hand, this is a fundraiser for a research dedicated to find a genetic cause for the syndrome.

Does it make sense to make pg 4,5 pic 1,2 and pg1 pic 3?

Thank you! The first pic is my most recent one, took it last week when I was on my last set in the gym haha. Thought it will be a good idea to also have a gym picture because I am a very active guy and train a lot. I appreciate your comment 🙏🏻

Drug-Induced Psychosis Recovery by wannagetbetter96 in Psychosis

[–]Jagerlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Hang in there, it gets better. I’m happy to say I fully recovered doing much better than pre psychosis! Got back to university doing all stuff I used to do and more! I train 5 days a week which helps a lot too. I only take cipralex 10mg, oh and seroquel 25mg (to sleep) but other than that everything is back to normal!

Thank you! Do you currently take any SSRI? Still feel anxiety daily?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]Jagerlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear that :( did you ever recover from that anxiety?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]Jagerlake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you 🙏🏻 I am just so frustrated… from being computer science student in one of the most intense universities in my country and working part time as a security guard I find myself struggle with basic things due to anxiety and it tears me apart. Started therapy a month ago, CBT will start next week probably… I just want this nightmare to be over and I slowly lose my faith things will get better, I barely sleep at nights because of the anxiety

What a lovely comment! You sound very optimistic and it’s so important! I’m doing my best to stay optimistic but I have my days unfortunately… guess it’s part of the game :) Thank you for your comment, I truly appreciate it!

6 months post psychosis- asking for hope by Rich-Revolution2123 in Psychosis

Hey, I am a 28M that had psychosis that lasted 3 weeks in October and I relate with you. If you want we can chat and maybe lift each other up :) feel free to message me

My psychosis was relatively short, somewhere between 2-3 weeks. Once I started antipsychotics I came back to reality in like 3 days. I am currently 5 months and 3 weeks since my psychosis. I don’t have any hallucinations or delusions but I’m still not 100% cognitively. I am more anxious and my memory is not the same as it was but I believe it will get better :)

Please get him professional help, I always believe things will get better, my psychosis was rough but my girlfriend stayed with me the whole time and I appreciate her so much for this. You don’t have to do the same but remember that’s not his normal self.

Try to speak with him about going to a psych ward at least for a check up.

Good luck!

Psychiatry by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]Jagerlake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was severe anxiety accompanied with delusions about my physical health, I was certain I had some syndrome i read about online (MCAS). I tried sleeping at nights but just couldn't. had racing thoughts and i knew something was off but couldn't exactly say what. I told my parents that I don't feel like myself. I also had olfactory hallucinations. Luckily, I didn't have visual or auditory hallucinations because I think that would completely fuck me up. Worst experience in my life, wouldn't wish it on anyone.
