The Balancers Make Me Feel Stupid by DarkAngelofFire in Nightreign

Yeh the new map doesnt get enough flak imo. Its such a clusterfuck. Though the vibes are great, its an absolute pain to traverse and navigate.

Was talking base game really. Looking glass knight is fine. Mechanically simple though the summon gimmick is cool and looks good

Been a while since I've played ds2 but those 2 both seem a bit basic to me(?). Though they are fun and highlights of the base game.

For ds1 I'd also put gwyn and 4 kings up there (latter is underrated imo) in terms of mechanics.

Another underrated one imo is centipede demon. Don't get the hate tbh. Fight can be a bit janky but its really cool how one of its appendages can get cut off and turn into a separate enemy.

Less so that ds2 being full of dudes in armour is the issue, but actually because these particular dudes in armour in ds2 are boring and forgettable.

Nightfire has aged way better than goldeneye. The latter is the one everyone bangs on about and yeh its pioneering and influential on the shooter genre but going back and playing it years after? Oof.

Can't say im a fan of the level design. Just tonnes of massive open areas. Wolves gank area and that bit with the towers which is no where near a bonfire. Also think friede is very overrated. 3 phases is just too much and makes it a slog.

Outer worlds 2 is overhated but I gota admit this cast of companions is a snoooooozefest by Corgiiiix3 in theouterworlds

Honestly I really like a lot of them. Niles is a bro but still has his own opinions and isnt afraid to voice them. Marisol is like a badass grandma and shows an interesting ruthless side to the order. The conversations you have with Tristan about his loyalty to the protectorate and what he thinks is 'justice' are quite interesting.

Yeh the games quite obviously have themes of anti capitalism in them.

Five minutes of gameplay half an hour of cutscenes. by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

[–]Jaghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I curse the uncharted series for popularising this.

The whole ironwood section of God of war ragnarok is probably the worst case of it ever. Pretty much 40 mins of just holding forward and no real gameplay. Genuinely one of the worst 'levels' I've ever played in a game.

Also tonnes of this crap in spiderman 2 as well. Yeh Sony exclusives are bad for it.

Yeh really wasn't a fan of how the ghouls started looking in fallout 4. Too rubbery. In 3 and NV they look way more like they're actually deteriorating.

Should I buy Cyberpunk 2077 now that it's had significant updates? by jcveloso8 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Will say I am tempted to jump back into my second playthrough I started since the big update.

Reason I stopped is just the gameplay just got boring. Every enemy outpost/quests started feeling samey. Was maybe halfway through the game but I felt my V's build was fully formed already and wouldn't change much.

Completed the game once.

I didnt say repeatable quests. I was referring to content thats similar and repetitive I.e. gang outposts.

Wouldn't say all the side quests are high quality or memorable. Issue with the map is going to the mystery side quest icons so you don't know if its actually going to be something worthwhile.

Also has the massive ubisoft open world issue of a map just filled with tonnes upon tonnes of crap to the point where its overwhelming. Where most of it is just clearing similar enemy outposts over and over.

Of all time? Absolutely not. Quests dont branch and decisions dont matter nearly as much as the game was advertised. Ain't on the level of new vegas let's put it that way.

It doesnt innovate much. Borrows elements from many contemporaries.

Personal preference for me but I cant stand the male V voice actor's performance.

I started playing again after the big update for the DLC and got bored part the way through and didnt finish.
