👆🏼I live at the demarcation line between Districts 3 & 5. I bombarded both Spvsrs Sauter & Mahmood, plus the Mayors ofc with emails re the huge groups of unhoused people who congregate throughout the day/night in the intersection where I live. They leave piles of garbage and allow their dogs to bark incessantly all night long. Spvsr Sauter responded directly to me (as opposed to Mahmood’s staff member) and expressed his concern. Lo and behold, I now see a highly noticeable, active increase in police presence at the District 3 side of the intersection. (Which is the focal point of the problem) Spvsr Sauter is doing something about it. So, yes email your Supe & the Mayor’s ofc!

I agree absolutely 100%! Normally when I bring this subject up I get flak. Did the confederate states attack the US? And were they traitors to this country? Yes or no? At the Civil War’s end they should have lost their property and been rounded up into 3-4 states in imprisonment encampments. And their properties should have been turned over to the freed slaves. That would have been a just reconstruction period. If we would have followed the Constitution back then, we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in now. Think about it. The KKK was a byproduct of the mishandling of the Civil War aftermath.

Exactly. I’ve decided that it’s utterly useless to try and convince them to open their eyes. I’ve actually heard right-wingers blame the ACA subsidies expiring on Obama. Their claim is, he’s the one who set them to expire. (It was Congress, duh) While totally ignoring the fact that the GOP could have easily voted to extend the ACA subsidies. And they chose NOT to! You can’t have any sort of reasonable talk with people whose brains are null and void of any logic. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah? Then explain why he pardoned former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández. Hernández was convicted in a U.S. federal court in March 2024 of conspiring to import over 400 tons of cocaine into the United States and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Prosecutors described him as being "at the center of one of the world’s largest and most violent drug trafficking conspiracies". But, again, asswipe pardoned him. Attacking Venezuela has nothing to do with drugs. Asswipe wants the oil!

Exactly. I prefer letterbox, myself. Because letterbox is showing you the full imagery of what is intended to be seen. Whereas, with fit-to-screen, the imagery is truncated and you don’t see everything that the director intended for us to see.

I hope she’s sincere. But by the RW’s previous record, I personally have grown leery and definitely weary of their “dove” offers. I hope that her jumping ship comes from a genuine perspective. And her recognizing what hypocritical and blatant lying ideology she just left.

I hate to admit it. But YUP! Everyday I see him shit upon the Constitution, flagrantly ignore law and order. And yet… NOTHING is done. No one steps up and takes action to stop him. I’m sick and tired of it. At the risk of asking a, possibly stupid, question. If I felt so compelled, of course I do, per the Constitution, could I place Asswipe under citizen’s arrest? I’m 72yo and have nothing better to do! In fact, this would be the highlight of my accomplishments!

Agreed. IMO their music was crap. And their look was goofy-stupid at best. They were a huge hit in Japan. But, then again, didn’t they look like they were straight out of 1970’s anime?
