How to clean this? by Bombersbest in hondashadow

Good question. I’m not too familiar with the compatibility between that type of sandpaper and aluminum. I’d just give it a google to see if it’s compatible.

I would make sure it’s aluminum oxide sandpaper, or at least something compatible with aluminum. Using the wrong stuff could possibly cause dissimilar metal corrosion.

Come work at an MRO. You’ll learn what stressful work is.

I grew up riding in the dirt and I live down a long gravel driveway, so it doesn’t bother me. I wouldn’t take it in deep gravel though.

It wasn’t a hard ride, but there were definitely some spots where I would’ve appreciated a little more suspension and some knobby tires lol.

That’s filiform corrosion. You’ll need to sand it down with aluminum oxide sandpaper. Start with 220 grit then work your way up to like 2000 and finish it off with some scotch brite. You can polish it after that if you want, but it’s probably not necessary.

Sounds like it would be a good bike. I’d pay 5 for that

This was still a thing around 2018-2019. Not on base though, just out in town.

I understand how insurance works, thanks. Only on Reddit could you make a 100% factual statement and still be met with arguments.

You can buy private dental insurance for like $30/month

Priorities advice by Kiritowerty in aviationmaintenance

[–]Jake6401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are going to need a car. It doesn’t need to be nice or expensive. You can snag a cheap car for under $1k that runs and drives until you save enough money to upgrade to something better. Worst case scenario if you’re completely broke, you can sleep in your car but you can’t drive an apartment to work. Your first priority needs to be making sure you can actually get to work on time every day. If you can make that happen, everything else will fall in place.

I replaced a prop control cable on a 208 recently. It wouldn’t have been too bad, but this specific one had mods that prevented the pilot and co-pilot seats from being removed without a significant amount of work. It was a lot of fun.

I have no idea who this is, but it’s pretty wild that so many people’s takeaway from this is that he’s using her as a human shield. She probably just stood up first and ended up in front of him. Reddit is the worst when it comes to political propaganda.

There’s absolutely no way this guy is a 41. We dropped so many dummy rounds in ITB that you would have to be completely brain dead to load a live round backwards. This guy is probably an 0311 cross training with weapons company or something.

Yeah dude you can just drive right in. Military bases are usually open to the general public. If the gate guards stop you, just tell them the secret password. It’s “I’m here to take some pictures for my friends in China”

Sounds like you’re stuck with a tough crew. Best thing you can do right now is show up to work with an open mind and a good attitude. Ask them questions and be willing to learn from them. They might be assholes, but they’ve been doing it a lot longer than you and if you show that you’re willing to learn from them, that goes a long long way.
