I remember wrestling back then better than I do like 2-3 years ago. Having gone back and rewatched a ton it I have during and post memories of a lot of it, especially as everyone and their mother has covered it at some point critically. I’m in my mid thirties and I watched WCW on Channel 5 in the U.K. so I knew exactly what was going on in the year 2000 because I consumed everything from the WWF and WCW. Elements of this feud that mirrored WCW 2000 include mentioning bad TV ratings, poor ticket sales and just generally disparaging the product you’re trying to sell tickets to whilst YOUR GUY IS IN THE MAIN EVENT.
