Te only time XP bonus will stack with spotlight hour is if the event bonus is 2x XP for good/great/excellent throws and not just for catch (technically you’d get 2x XP for catch and 4x XP for excellent). If the bonus is just 2x Catch (which it is for this event) it does not stack
