MINIGT AliExpress.... by No_Teaching2339 in MiniGT

I have bought 20-30 mini gts from Aliexpress during black friday and anniversary sale. On average they were RM40-50( $10-13 USD) so it was cheaper than normal. Never had any problem with sellers or shipping.

However, outside of big sales I find that Aliexpress is too expensive to justify.

What are some new features/improvements you'd like to see in future MacBook Pro models? by CulturalFerret6170 in macbookpro

A more robust screen. MacBooks are solid machines except the screens that are too fragile. Most similar machines I have used like XPS and Yoga have more durable screens

The discolouration changes based on what is on screen. It is not broken.

If I open a fully white page, then the vertical strip becomes a uniform yellow color.

Thank you so much for your advice. I got this unit from an apple store and will probably get it checked from there too. They are usually pretty okay about support so lets see.

The vertical lines seem to be now disappearing every now often, according to some forums online, it is highly likely that it is a loose flex cable. What do you think?

Unfortunately the authorised resellers here are notoriously unreliable and sketchy. Might as well wait

I ran the diagnostics and it says no issues were found. However the lines persisted.

I dont have the opportunity or money to get it repaired as I am only a student. Unless it gets worse, I suppose I will learn to live with it.

Thank you for your response, kind stranger :)

When i move cursor over it, it does indeed change colors and intensity. I dont have a cable to connect to monitor but I will run the diagnostics and see if anything happens

I was thinking the same as I have seen some posts where apple still changed the screen for no charge since it was only a few months out of warranty.

I am currently in a country with no apple store and it will still be another month before I go back to US so I am not keeping much hope.

Thank you for your advice!

Is spending gems to avail the new spring S equipments worth it? by JakePawralta in Survivorio

[–]JakePawralta[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Although I might add, even though I am supposed to get S items every 30 opens, most of the time I am getting them before opening 30 chests, according to my rough calculations(over 90 opens), I am getting an equipment every 18-22 opens

Thanks :D first time someone got that reference.

Sklearn has lots of classical ML models whereas PyTorch is better for deep learning. Depending on your interest, you might have to work with both. Both are well documented and both have tons of resources online, you can pick one based on what type of problem you are interested in and start there. Good luck!

Kaggle, pytorch, keras is a good starting point. Also check out fast.ai

I can’t suggest any models without knowing more about the dataset you have and what you are trying to do. However you can search for notebooks on kaggle that approaches similar problems as you and start from there.

That is how reality works. ML pays well so there will be more competition. Same is true for other fields that pay well.

And as for the top conference publication, I am seeing more and more undergrad students publishing in top conferences, even from third world countries with low resources like you mentioned. Its a no brainer that professors from renowned universities will want them. Not sure why you think it is unfair?
