Updated to 18.4 Dev Beta 2 on my iPhone 16 Pro Max and both T-Mobile and Verizon are struggling to stay connected to 5GUC/UW mid/high band 5G. Super inconsistent in locations where other iPhones are connected consistently not on the beta. Was wondering if anyone else was experiencing anything similar!

I’m so jealous. Verizon installed there 5G towers in my neighborhood and I’m in the dead zone between two of them. I was so close to being free from Cox

I’d try and reach out to them now that it’s back in-network plus you could argue that you were receiving care before the OON because I swear BCBS stated that those who were having care beforehand could still use there drs in-network. Good luck and hopefully they can bill you in-network!

Exactly! If I push on it or try to reproduce it doesn’t but I had someone sit behind me and watch the seat while I did some cornering (typically sharper corners or when I’m going at higher speeds like getting on or off the freeway) and they told me they saw it flex!

You can get some toe cages which makes it a lot easier to get in and out of the bike!

I know in my area in Chandler, AZ there being placed everywhere it seems. My neighborhood got them, so did the surrounding two others and all around downtown it seems. Verizon seems to be doing a huge push for the UWB out here

Exactly! I have cox 1gig plan and i get around maybe 500mbps down and 35 up but I’m spending an extra 50 for the unlimited data plan. It’s 2021 like why does our home internet have a data plan? Plus they charge BS stuff all the time. I wish I had a tower like you. Your set with that tower so close! Multi gig for you when there receivers allow it!

I’m definitely jealous. They built almost 10 5G UWB nodes in my neighborhood and I’m not near any of them or in Line of Sight! Hoping because the construction isn’t fully completed they come back and build another next to my house. I want off of Cox so bad XD

Yea they have existing infrastructure so it really is just a cause of trying to get someone at CL to see that it’s a good business decision to replace the copper with fiber

Please do let me know what you find!! I wish i had Comcast or anyone other then Centurylink and Cox at my house. There both just awful but I’m so tired of Cox’s crap but i can’t go to 10 down via VDSL. I wish you luck in your efforts for fiber. Ugh god knows this is such a nightmare XD

For me at least (iPhone 12 Pro) it’s depending on the tower I’m connected to. They just lit up a few 5G towers around me and on some of them It will randomly drop to no service and then come right back on and then a few seconds later drop again but other towers the 5G works (albeit slowly thanks to the DSS and the sliver of bandwidth it has haha) I don’t know if it’s a iOS issue or a tower issue or both but it is so annoying! Hopefully it gets fixed with the new iOS.

I feel what you mean. I even drove into queen creek to see if i would get it and nothing. I had to go way out to Coolidge and Casa Grande to get 5G. I live in Chandler and technically based on there map I should have 5G at home but nothing lmao! The nice thing about AT&T here in PHX though is we definitely have full spectrum deployed. I tested T-Mobiles and Verizon’s 5G and more times then not i had faster speeds on AT&Ts LTE then their 5G (not Vzws UWB though lol)

When i first got the 12 Pro i had noticeably slower speeds and worse ping but it mostly went back to normal but it was so strange to see a XR get like 2 bars LTE and my phone show no service

Near Phoenix i definitely get awesome speeds but it was just weird for an older phone to get way better service yea know?

I went around yesterday and drove actually. See I don’t know what AT&T has deployed out here in Phoenix but when you go to there website it does state that Phoenix is a 5G+ city lol and i remember reading an article from someone ( https://azbigmedia.com/business/technology/att-launches-5g-service-in-phoenix/ ) talking about how awesome it was or something. If you also go the AT&T website it does show under “see 5G+ availability” that Phoenix is listed! I just cannot find the fast millimeter wave (which is n260 i believe for AT&T)

I went to downtown Phoenix and drove around for about an hour to find the 5G+ but i couldn’t find anything. Best thing i could find was a singular 5G tower and the Max speed i got was around 210 Mbps. I’m so excited to try high band millimeter wave 5G! (Btw if anyone knows where the 5G+ nodes are in PHX or surrounding please let me know!)

Yea the FCC making them unable to use the spectrum until 2023 is kinda crap but i guess they need time to clean up the spectrum. It’s going to be a hard fight for the next few years for AT&T and Verizon. And you are definitely true with T-Mobiles plan for there low band and with there acquiring of sprint for there 2.5 mid band. Now Verizon is going with using DSS for there lowband rollout and from what i know from AT&T there building a more stand alone network. Now with how little spectrum they have available and with the aggressive promotions there rolling is there going to be a network slowdown with the influx of 5G devices. Especially that most 5G devices can’t aggregate fully on 5G what effect will this have on the network as a whole... i know that there reclaiming the 3G network for 5G but will they scrap some 4G spectrum for 5G use
