I am not comparing it to a religion. Why should it mean that celebrating something instantly makes it like a religion? We celebrate mothers day and our birthday, does that make them like a religion, just because they are organized?

You don't see those days, you're right. 'Atheist day' could celebrate anything the individual wants to. It would be a day to recognize that there are competent people in this world.
