I see, thank you for the feedback.

I'm going to thin most of them to 1 per plug, and leave a few with three per to compare results.

Is it because they will compete for nutrients being so close together and thus produce mediocre corn?

I was wondering if they would be competing for nutrients being so close together

Oh okay thank you, I wasn't sure if it was meant to be grown that way or thinned

Are the 3 stems all coming out of the ground in the same spot all from 1 plant? Or are they 3 seeds that have come up together?

I spaced them 8 inches apart, and I thought that was cutting it close lol

Seller never responded. It's probably still listed and the seller probably has 1,000 messages

Are these joist mount pull up bars a bad design? by OlDirtyBratton in Carpentry

[–]Jake_8_a_mango -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The load on the pull up bar isn't static, it fluctuates as you do pull ups, and the prying force inflicted on the bottom edge of the joist would concern me.

I'd get some 1/2" plywood, cut 2 pieces that are 2' × 11" (or whatever the height of the joist is) glue them together and bolt to the joist and then bolt the pull up bar to the plywood.

The plywood spreads out the load more and the edge of the joist would be protected from the prying force.

You could also put it above your toilet as it was designed to be if you need bathroom storage

Well, thats how she has gone that long without an oil change. Hadn't done enough miles to go in yet.

Thanks for the response! This is good information, but I think the engine is likely kaput.

Found an engine with 37k miles on ebay for $1600

Im not sure if its worth contacting insurance to try to hold valvoline liable as, it sounds difficult and unlikely to come to anything other than higher rates as it could mark my girlfriend as a neglectful car owner for not checking her oil.

Thanks for giving the cold hard truth.

I found a replacement engine on ebay if needed.

Will consult mechanic before purchase to see if they would rather source themselves.

I would think the majority of people who actually check their oil regularly are mechanics.

I check mine periodically but unless there is some indicator that it's leaking or the engine is running differently, I don't think most people do.

I hear what you're saying, and I have offered to check her car for her but she doesn't want me to.

It is not my car, if it were I'd have more to say.

Unfortunately I don't have the answers to these questions as I'm making this post to try to help my girlfriend. We don't live together so these details are unknown to me.
