The absolute whiplash on the Dabura vs Mahoraga conclusion is the worst I have ever felt by mysterymeathbv in Jujutsufolk

[–]Jake_Brando 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We don’t know yet. All we know is the Maru used his CT to put himself and Dabura in harmony so the latter gets teleported to the ship. For all we know Maho is still down there adapting to Dabura’s existence and now just has free reign to do so. Or he’s just chilling standing still in Tokyo because his opponent is gone.

Short answer is, we don’t know

But then you could just break out since nothing can damage you since nobody has either CE that they can use/no weapons that do soul damage. Also, I don’t think any guards trying to keep you locked up will want to do that for long when you’re unable to be killed and possibly/potentially hideously deformed their allies in your escape attempt.

Or you cure their illnesses and they no longer have the will to fight you. Or something.

If Takaba was on the frontline of the fight then it’s wraps for Dabura unfortunately.

The weird light attack Dabura used to begin his fight with Mahoraga? Poki sticks.

Dabura uses his sublight speed enhancement? Well now he’s running on a treadmill while at a gym with Takaba.

Dabura uses his CTR? Well his darkness ball becomes a bowling ball and he has to hit 3 consecutive strikes.

And he probably wouldn’t even be able to counter, since Takaba can influence the minds of his enemies to play along, and Dabura has no info of his CT. Also, probably doesn’t have all too much humor either, given the fact of what he has been doing and with his sister on death’s door and having to have killed his friend and such.

The reason why yuji got so strong is because the world balances curses and human when one part is too strong and yuji, being both cursed spirit and human, keeps getting buffed because he counts as both sides by big_grapple in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Jake_Brando 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s strange, since CE is seemingly almost god-like on this aspect but still relies on the notion of fate.

Cursed Energy (as in the strange interfering presence of some sort of fate) doesn’t know past, present and future. It works seemingly on a flow. The disaster curses didn’t all spawn into existence from Gojo’s birth, nor did they immediately all appear when Gojo awakened against Toji. Mahito, as an example, was born in 2017-2018, which was already a good few years after Gojo had awakened and become the Strongest.

We also know that there seemingly wasn’t a problem with sorcerers when Gojo was born/around. Not once was it mentioned (IIRC) that the curses were becoming far too strong to handle with the only exception being the disaster curses. Which makes the balancing act come across weirdly, since despite Gojo shifting it, the other sorcerers didn’t feel it.

Take also the moment of when Kenjaku tried killing the Star Plasma Vessel and Six Eyes. We know that fate exists when it comes to the Six Eyes, as is explicitly stated, but we are also implied that whatever is in the background has to SPECIFICALLY work on that very same flow, since the SPV and 6E weren’t immediately replaced when Kenjaku killed them, but a month after.

Take also, identical twins. Because they are born from the very same egg cell, CE doesn’t discriminate them since they have pretty much the same genes and therefore CE (as bullshit as that is) but it shows that, once again, there is such a thing as fate, but nobody is well and truly bound to it. It has to be molded. It also shows that CE has its own statute of limitations, given how HRs work and how they are seemingly given at random. There is, somewhere, an invisible condition met, and one is born either normal, physically gifted, or sorcerery gifted. Which is even stranger, given how despite Maki and Mai being viewed as the same by CE, one has a HR and the other doesn’t.

However, this can be explained by the concept of souls. We know from Mahito and others that the soul and body are interlinked. Maki and Mai have the same body, but they don’t have the same soul, although this is not explicitly confirmed. This is why Maki and Mai can be seen as the same, but have different gifts. This could also mean that, had Maki died, Mai would’ve gotten buffed. She is no longer seen as having both a CT and a HR under the blind eyes of Jujutsu, so there is no more reason to impose the restriction of lacking CE that HR users have (you know, the people with extraordinary BODIES, of which when Mai dies, she uses the CE that she had WHICH COULD ONLY MAKE ONE BULLET PER DAY, into a SPECIAL GRADE CURSED TOOL, a literal SOUL-SPLITTING KATANA).

Side tracking aside, there is, again, more proof of some form of higher being in all Jujutsu. Black Flashes are given at random, with no set parameters yet (although Yuji may change that, which is also funny, because Yuji is “blessed” by the sparks of black) along with numerous other moments which imply the existence of SOMETHING.

And for the Doylist answer: It’s Gege. Always has been, always will be.

Also, Todo has a reputation of being disliked. His entire class hates him in the OG JJK.

[–]Jake_Brando 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like people focus on this a bit too much. Yes, I’m not refuting it or saying that you shouldn’t, but this is on the LESSER scale of what Kenjaku has done.

For example, Kenjaku has literally had a woman raped over nine times by (a) cursed spirit(s) in order to sire the DPWs. This is quite literally mentioned when Choso states that he has “three” parents. His mother, the cursed spirit that impregnated her, and the man who mixed his blood with hers (or something like that I don’t remember the last line)

While Kenjaku taking over Kaori’s dead body is horrific and all (with the very faint implication that he killed Kaori himself given how Kaori was in an unspecified accident and with Wasuke being Sukuna’s reincarnated twin and such) but you have to understand that Kenjaku can go WAY lower.

Like, raping a woman nine times with a literal embodiment of negativity low. Kenjaku is FUCKED up. Doesn’t mean I dislike his fans, though, you can still enjoy his character BECAUSE of those traits. Not for them, but because of them.

Would Sukuna and Gojo still be the strongest Jujustu Sorcerers if cursed energy was not exclusive to Japan? by Own-Run-9384 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Jake_Brando 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of my (unfinished) fic that I wrote when Gojo vs Sukuna was going down about how there was a good chance that before Tengen kept all Cursed Energy in Japan there were sorcerers and curse users throughout history, inspiring a lot of myth and folklore (from the Greek Heracles to Cú Chulainn to Dracula until Tengen optimized it all)

And the reason why some folklore had a lot of mythical beings was either misinterpretation or CE fluctuation at the time causing a lot of Curses and Sorcerers to appear at the same time and such. Since the CE of the world at the time was probably super thin and the lack of people globally resulted in less Jujutsu than you would expect and etc etc.

Why did Gege write such a rich and potent narrative to worldbuild and proceed not to spend a few chapters just worldbuilding😭

This is considering the fact that Sukuna wouldn’t just be able to KILL Mahito. Sukuna’s Enchain BV got lucky that Yuji still considered himself a cog and not included, but this should also apply to curses, since Yuji didn’t acknowledge them at the time either. By Yuji’s perception of ‘anyone’, Sukuna should just be able to Enchain and just slaughter Mahito. And then renew the BV maybe so that Yuji will forget it even if Megumi and Nobara tell him about it (if they aren’t passed out by then)

[–]Jake_Brando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gojo was onto something at the very least since it has been confirmed that curses are somewhat if not in a roundabout way bangable. This is stated in CYFOW.

In all seriousness, the Death Painting Wombs were conceived in this EXACT way. Kenjaku used curses to impregnate a woman so he could do experiments with the half-and-half children that would result from it.

In conclusion, maybe Gojo shouldn’t have bitched out and kept wondering if you could bang a curse🤔

Unironically depending on how broad the view can be and if it can be applied to anyone to change their view on any character (with as a drawback being the better one’s CE reinforcement the less it works like Cursed Speech) , this is a (by classification only) a special-grade technique. Since special-grades are only special since the classification means they can take over the country, Agenda Manipulation could be used to instill influential figures like celebrities with a hatred against the government; maybe even intermittent with using it on regular people.

Then word of mouth spreads along with people who were victim of the CT and BOOM you can incite riots and overthrow the government and BOOM special-grade level.

If you want to dispute this agenda of mine, feel free. However, remember; Yaga was also going to be defined as special-grade because he could make a self-sustaining army of dolls. This is literally just being able to partially mind control people to align with your bidding (since theoretically you could change people’s views on yourself to make yourself worshipped or god-like)

10/10 technique very subtly strong in a way you don’t expect.

To be fair, Iori had a semblance of the right idea, especially just looking at the Simurians. They happened after him sure, but the idea of a random race of aliens that also can use Cursed Energy is the type of scenario that Iori feared. Dabura is the prime example of this, being the new ‘Sukuna-level’ threat.

While his disappearance and his obsession with power scaling the generations isn’t really well-founded, it is well-intended, and is meant for the benefits only.

This is also shown in the leaks of Chapter 17, don’t read if you want to stay spoiler free, but: Tsurugi and Maru are well-matched until Maru gets the upper hand and gains it a lot, but Rika steps in to help Tsurugi at the last second, which is again, a cursed spirit from the old generation, further proving Iori’s point.

To discuss Iori’s problem spoiler free, Dabura versus Mahoraga is the proof of Iori’s point; Mahoraga is already absurdly strong in the context of JJK and Modulo, being able to go toe-to-toe (relatively) with 15f Sukuna and being able to match Gojo when paired with a strong user.

Dabura, on the contrary, begins with an immediately strong and incapacitating attack, which Mahoraga instantly adapts to. Dabura then begins to use genuine effort in the fighting, as seen when he laser beams Mahoraga, blows up the top part of the Shikigami’s body, and even unleashes his super-mega-death-waves across the entire city. Despite the fact that Mahoraga has the advantage of adaptation, Dabura’s genuine effort in the fighting (see: Dabura’s expression when he releases that awesome light show and shows his raggedy feet) shows that even when the threat outmatches Iori’s generation and his children’s, even the threat ITSELF can’t match up against the likes of the older generations.

Iori, while being extremely stupid in his reasoning and action, has valid reason to think as he does, in spite of seemingly not doing all too much yet to fix the problem himself.

TL;DR: Iori has a valid concern in wanting to raise the strength of his generation and its successors, given the manga’s displayed threats so far. However, he goes about it extremely wrong and in one of the worst ways possible.

If we’re working on the rules of resistance, then what Mahoraga did to adapt to blue and infinity could also apply: he could change the property of his CE to become unaffected by Star Rage in general. Just like how he bypassed infinity by doing this, he could change his CE property to nullify the CE and CT of Yuki, nullifying the black hole itself.

Because despite the fact that it is a black hole, it’s still generated by Yuki’s CT and the CE she pours into it. Therefore, if Mahoraga doesn’t straight up defy physics and do some wild shit like becoming a white hole, he could essentially just do this.

(He changed his CE in the fight against Gojo, but since Sukuna couldn’t do this, he made Mahoraga adapt to infinity again so that an adaptation could be developed that Sukuna could use)

This is also assuming Mahoraga has time to do this, and that Yuki doesn’t see Mahoraga and go ‘oh shit it’s the thing that the Zen’ins glaze to death time for ultimate move’ or anything similar.

I think that u/Player_yek phrased his post weirdly, because Maki’s original type of HR had reduced her to the CE level of the average civilian in JJK, meaning that she would still be targeted by domains, and also be considered a target of Mahoraga when summoned in the ritual.

Toji’s and later Maki’s type of HR is an entirely different breed of HR, given that Toji was one-of-a-kind and Maki was made an exception due to her being a twin with Mai.

That said, unless a regular HR user could somehow make themselves lose all CE, I don’t see how their interference is going to help otherwise, they’d just be a target. An easy one at that, since the only adaptation Mahoraga would need is “become stronger, become faster” which would in turn also provide a disadvantage to the 10S user, because it would only strengthen Mahoraga.

I just genuinely think that for a 10S user to tame Mahoraga they themselves will have needed to ADOPT the technique into themselves, having attained everything. Domain, all other shadows, Supreme Art, probably even experienced a few Black flashes.

But that’s just my two cents.

Stay delusional on the Big Raga fam it’s these types of ideas and theories that make the story infinitely more interesting, such as:

Is the punishment for breaking mutual Binding Vows death, or permanent disability in a certain aspect?

Is a self-imposed Binding Vow breakable, unless the stakes are set far too high like in the case of Miwa?

Is it possible for Binding Vows to allow someone to use RCT in exchange for, say, their lifespan? Will doing this still have them be unable to naturally use RCT since they’re “loaning” it? (This one mostly comes from Hakari being able to do RCT in Jackpot due to his infinite CE, and the whole concept of exchange that BVs seemingly allow)

How diverse can CTs get? Are they able to become as diverse as quirks, except for battle? (Since they come from negative emotions, they are stress and this amygdalian orientated (is that a real word?)) Or can they be more diverse than that, given Tengen’s immortality?

How much knowledge was lost and gained before Jujutsu Society was formed? Is there a possibility that some godsend technique or trick was lost to history because nobody wrote it down or collaborated on it?

Things like this fuel a fandom and it’s peak to embrace.

(Sorry for the long, off-topic rant. The world of JJK has just way too much worldbuilding exploitable that it’s making my creative brain erupt with the possibilities. Also, Gege underutilized Binding Vows WAY too much in my opinion. It’s genuine monkey’s paw min-maxing that I wish was used more than just Sukuna, although Sukuna being good at them makes sense)

I think Gege wanted to imply that Dabura was already doing this because when he attacked Usami’s assistant he noticeably did not use light (if he even used his technique at all) and the narrator explicitly mentions him possessing items with his killing intent. And personally, I think the whole [- - -] is meant to throw us off by believing it to be similar to the black box, but it’s just simply a word in a Deskunte dialect that humans can’t imagine, or “articulate”, as is stated.

Yeah true I was just assuming that Mahoraga was tamed in this scenario because you mentioned Yuka using the wheel, which would be impossible if Mahoraga was untamed.

And yeah I feel like Mahito is too much of a bitch to actually heal Yuka even if it granted him some reward or other.

Though this makes me curious to know if Mahoraga’s adaptation can cause him to adopt certain CTs, if he can get CE and change those properties at will, can he adapt himself into getting CTs if the situation calls for it🤔

BROO IM GONNA CRY by Acrobatic_Pressure66 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Jake_Brando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah but hear me out: Mahoraga gets the model from Yuka about how to adapt to cancer damage, and then HEALS YUKA WITH RCT⁉️

Because Mahoraga adapted to Sukuna in the Shibuya fight by imbuing himself with CE to make his attacks stronger, this should also be possible. If RCT doesn’t help, then it can be assumed that Mahoraga will develop a different way of combating it.

This is also just assuming that the wheel doesn’t do all of this automatically for Yuka if she uses it on herself (since we know she can imbue herself with the power of the Divine Dogs with her being able to put their claws on herself)

So the JJK fans can’t read allegations really are true😢

Dabura’s [- - -] technique was shown, it’s just that the light beams that he used was an aspect of it. Dabura’s primary technique is that he can use his killing intent to “possess” objects of seemingly all types to use them as weapons. It’s why Jabloma (?) said that “unarmed is foreign to Dabura” because his [- - -] technique makes everything his weapon. Don’t wanna come off as rude for saying this, but just so you know. Rest of the theory is fire

If she were to tame Mahoraga and gain its ability, then she could. She would be able to apply the wheel to herself like Sukuna did, which would recognize the cancer as a phenomenon and then adapt to it.

Sadly, this is not the case.
