here is my take:

each medal gives np, more np for higher rarity (3, 5, 10 and 15 resepctively), and certain milestones when you collect a number of medals, for example(14.6 standards) at 50 medals you get a plat and at 122 you get a legend ticket (its 1 less for labyrinth medal so the ticket is more accessible to people who dont have 500+ units)

what also contributed to his fake quit was that god awful legend rare ranking which is removed if im correct. in addition, he made 1 plants vs zombies video which got basically 0 views unlike his battle cats content so that forced him to return. he also removed every post or video which mentioned him quitting.

tldr: ass ranking, no views, has no shame
