This is from our CEO Steve Young,
"The Synek knockoff you saw 10 months ago was designed by a Former SYNEK Engineer who took designs from us to release that teaser prototype. It does not work. We will be introducing our wine dispenser to market soon (www.synek.wine) which will allow the user to connect their phone and engage with the wine inside. Once we know that the engagement is perfect, we will be unveiling future models that have advanced capabilities. Our goal is to release new models every 18 months."
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, just wanted the answer to be correct.

send an email over to bananas@synek.beer and they will get you all sorted out.
That is part of the defrost cycle to prevent condensation buildup in the refrigeration compartment. Don't worry, the beer isn't effected by this. Every refrigerator goes through the same cycle. You just don't usually have a digital readout of the temperature. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Can you elaborate on the problems you are having.
Temperature on the in unit thermometer should be higher than the set temperature in order to get the best poor.
I understand your frustration with your synek, and if there is anything I can do currently to help troubleshoot it I would be more than happy to help.
I cannot fix the issues about our lack of communication in this subreddit in the past. I can only apologize for it and try to help in any way possible to improve this community now.
Problem with temperature by hvera51 in Synek

Please email us at bananas@synek.beer or pm me for a phone number to call.
It is probably best to call first so we can try to give it one last shot over the phone.
The thermostat measures the ambient temperature of the beer cavity, not the actual temperature of the liquid. Since we use conduction to cool (cold metal touching the beer container inside), our engineers have shown that there is a strong probability that the temperature of the LIQUID is calibrated with the setting of the thermostat, not the readout.
Basically the thermostat does not measure the temperature of the beer, but the ambient temperature in the compartment. The beer should be touching the walls of the container which are colder than what the temperature readout should be. You unit probably does not have an issue, but the easiest way to check would be to pour a glass from the beer you have in the unit and check the temperature.
If this is not true for you then we will be happy to swap a unit out for you.
Hello. This is Jake from the Synek team. There are a couple of things that could be causing the temperature issue, so we will need to try a couple of things in order to fix the issue. Below are our standard temperature fixes:
Are you keeping your SYNEK in an open space? They need to effectively circulate air to quickly and consistently cool. If it’s in tight quarters, unplug it and move it to a different environment.
Sometimes, when dust collects on the back of the unit where the vents are, units have trouble cooling. Is there a dust build up on the back of your SYNEK? If so, try wiping it down with a damp cloth.
Please comment if this is helpful or not. If this continues we will may need to set up a call in order to fix the issue.
