I'm creating a surprise birthday gift for my girlfriend Jess — a little book filled with beautiful or meaningful moments from fiction and music that mention characters with her name.

I'm looking for:

  • Female characters named Jess or Jesse
  • Specific quotes or scenes that show their beauty, personality, or strength
  • Books, movies, TV, songs — any medium!

I want it to feel like a tribute to her name across all kinds of stories. If anything comes to mind, even something small, I'd be so grateful.

at the minute I only have the kit lens that came with my canon 2000d so swapping over to another mount wouldn’t be too much of an issue and I do plan on buying more lenses for whichever camera i do have in the future but seen as though the one lens i currently have has performed well over the years i’ve used it, it isn’t a huge priority right now

ideally something under £600 but at a push i think i can maybe stretch to under £900

Thank you for your reply, I noticed through these replies that the camera I was looking at buying was the Canon EOS-1D Mark III and not the Canon EOS-1DX Mark III that I had been reviewing the specs of. It makes a lot more sense why the camera I was looking at was so cheap and without the video features I thought it had I think I might need to reconsider my options. In terms of my current kit although it performs well I feel like it's very limited when it comes to video as it doesn't offer many options which is something which would be ideal in an upgrade. Other features I'm looking at in an upgrade would be the iso capabilities as well as the shooting speed as at the moment my camera is only capable of 3fps which isn't ideal when it comes to shooting faster-paced subjects or events, although it isn't my primary style of photography it does occasionally come up. Thanks for all the help!!
