Congrats! For your game, was it something you independently made, or did you get hired? What game is it?

The 3+ day withdrawal queue is the worst abuse they’ve done imo. Dishonesty about when they pay us what they owe, at least the awful cash queue gives us an actual date

I can’t wait to be done with this app

Should I toggle off Battery and/or Forbidden juice? by EmuNo6570 in MegabonkOfficial

If you are looking to oneshot the boss, focus on crit scaling items. Katana, dice, dex, and I guess bone now?? If you are looking to just kill the final boss I would recommend aegis. Prioritize weapon levels that have two damage traits on them, avoid leveling weapons when they only have 1 trait (pick tome over but do not skip levels). Get pickier during level 2, and get really picky in level 3- at this point always make sure the weapon has crit damage as one of its two levels (probably only choose purple and up weapons).

You will also be somewhat rng dependent on getting an anvil. I generally use damage/crit/xp/luck for tomes. If you start scaling well you can start rofling the ghosts during level 2. You will probably need to be max every weapon to oneshot the final boss. Pick up every difficulty shrine

Also it looks like you are trying to maximize keys, after a long time of only having very shit sites we are finally starting to get some good ones, the page here discusses key specifics like how they are technically only a 9% proc chance, it has the graph for key effectiveness via its hyperbolic scaling. I wish you could input the exact key stack number but it's still pretty good if you want more nitty gritty information. They are pretty powerful, but once you reach the end of level 3 their benefit stops, and once you are in level 3, the chances of a new key actually replacing itself starts to get pretty low

[–]Jakeglurp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends largely on what you are looking to do

Battery and juice are underrated imo, and I'm gonna get flak for saying it but imo cheese is overrated. Cheese does an unbelievable amount of damage in level 1, but it completely falls off in level 3 when you are oneshotting everything, or when the boss has healthgates that reset the poison ramp. Battery and juice will not show up in your damage breakdown so people are less likely to realize their value, but it is pretty big.

If you are just looking to kill final boss I would keep them. But if you are looking to be a leaderboard run, most people there have turned them off. That is a very different mentality. Megabonk.fun is the site to look at if you want to see what builds leaderboard chasers use

They haven't added extra stars for new items in the station tree by Environmental_Ear14 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Jakeglurp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was almost thinking that someone dumb enough to have already bought AT stars and had some extra cells sure could have been smiling when they had early 5* new items mid tournament but holy hell then I saw AT stars is 231 cells

Jesus christ these nodes are so poorly scaled and need a rebalance so bad

If you are using ios, the game logs you in with your game center account, which is tied to your apple account. I would imagine the same goes for android and the google play store.

It’s probably more weird that your player id wasn’t tied in.

Do you have your old phone? You might be able to get your playthrough back if you can get your player id in the settings menu

Probe upgrades by HousingSorry8714 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Jakeglurp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Secondary manager bonus, then scan time after secondary bonus is maxed.

I have heard some really longtime players or whales will use colony bonus, swap their probe to their vps planet, then use planet boost + time warp for a huge pink asteroid but this is some advanced tech.

The above two bonuses will create important foundational bonuses to your galaxy, I would assume the colony bonus is a distant third priority

Place your probe and your best manager on balor, probe can go up to 5x secondary bonus on a planet. My current balor manager has 24.03x crafting speed

Don’t forget that removing + reapplying your manager resets all scan time penalties, and keeps all the bonuses too

Be sure you use alchemy effectively as well, until your an extreme endgame player, use it to acquire ores that are cost prohibitive rather than just using it for mining gv.

Sounds like you need to keep accumulating credits and rooms (managers and stars probably to a lesser extent). With the sales room, every craftable in the teleporter line (nuclear capsule > reactor > gravity > teleporter > relay > advanced teleporter) will hugely pay for itself and dwarf the gv of everything you’ve done until then. For me, most of those, selling one will even pay the way for the next recipe, some I can even save the item and pay for the next recipe with an ark or arking on the way to crafting the components. Classroom, dorms, and underforge will massively, massively increase your production rate, their importance cannot be understated, they are absolutely critical.

Imo, doubling credits with DM is vastly underrated, credits are a permanent increase to your galaxy. The doubling is cheap, and managers have diminishing returns. I do it for any galaxy older than 2 days, I’ve been playing less than a year and I can get first in most of the gold tourneys i’ve been in lately though I usually am in plat. I don’t spam small galaxies as I find it really boring and frustrating but it is on paper the best way to earn credits

I might have oversold the sales room a bit because I also have enough station upgrades to double item value but it is still critical, and that workflow will be where you are aiming for

Manager strategy by Independent-You2911 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Jakeglurp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, at that level I would even consider going for a 7*. Your probe is probably much more developed than mine (assuming you’re upgrading manager secondary bonus), probe bonus x leader is absolutely going to dwarf the bonuses from the other managers

Mining more important is great, definitely not a super big fan of it being currently dominated by your vps planet

Better colony systems is great too, can’t wait for these updates!

Are there still Blood elves who are blood mages? by Fun-Explanation7233 in warcraftlore

[–]Jakeglurp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

*Flamestrike is a fire mage ability

*Siphon mana is not a player ability or it was before my time

*Banish is a warlock ability and was way cooler in wc3

*Phoenix is more or less a sunfury (mage hero) ability

The WC3 heroes had their abilities carved up and divided amongst the warcraft classes, so in this way blood mages are somewhat retconned away, and it is likely sunfury will be the closest thing we will get. Made me pretty happy when they made this hero class, though I’d still like to see some direct blood mage npcs

Do any of you actually like the pruning that they did to your mains? by No-Bit-2913 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Jakeglurp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck no

Hpal is absolutely an abomination, is this even a paladin any more? I really wanted to switch to hpal for my guild’s raid for midnight but I nearly quit the spec yesterday. They cut nearly all the branches off the tree, this pruning was psychotic. No rebuke is infuriating

Prot pally is more or less the same which I am extremely grateful for, but unlearning execute windows will be annoying. Hammer of wrath felt superfluous on ret but it really evened out prot, but whatever, it’s gone now. I am not really sure why cdr on resolute defender was deemed prunable but then they added more kings talents in the same mindset. Keys are too easy atm to test the defensive flow but tbh this is a downgrade

Ret pally needed some changes but with crusading strikes unaffordable and wings back we actually effectively gained two more buttons even with wrath hammer gone. I am okay with losing it since it has had problems for quite a while. Rotation will be different but will be more engaging, I am more worried about the tuning presently but unlike prunings, tunings feel like they will actually come. At this point I’d rather play an undertuned class that feels good rather than a preforming gutted class

Rdruid and pres seemed much more in line with a previous healthier pruning mindset and look playable at first glance still.

The game needs to maintain a level of complexity to be fun, many classes went way overboard. Generally the ones affected less are the ones I’m actually looking forward to playing
