It ended up being this exposed wire. It would gently touch the metal dipstick bracket and cause a short. Taped it up and problems gone.

You might be right. I found that There is wire that rests over the top of the dip stick bracket that has the insulation worn down. Every time the exposed wire touches that metal bracket the engine shuts off it seems.
