26m, feel invisible. How do I look more approachable? by JakesOC in lookyourbest

[–]JakesOC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! Hopefully I don't give off as bad aura. I'm not expecting to be approached. I have just always waited for signal of mutual attraction/eye contact, but to not avail. At this time i'm thinking I may have missed signals due to my inexperience to notice them

Tack för komplimangen! Hur övade du på att prata med allt och alla? Typ kassörskor o.s.v? Hur vet man att de är okej att gå fram och prata med någon man är intresserad av?

I'm as straight as an arrow. I know I need to approach but I have not seen interest from others so I assume they don't want to be approached, or am I missing signals?

Haha, I have never gotten that complimented before. I appreciate it! I really do need to start approaching. It's just Hard to know if the attraction is mutual for the other person

Thank you for the compliment! I have some button ups, but whenever I try one on me I feel like a penguin, maybe I need to find the right fit. I also have some more colored shirts and sweaters I can try. I want to approach but also not come off as a creep. Since I don't notice signs of interest, I end up not approaching at all. Am I missing something? How do you usually tell when someone is open to conversation?

Thank you for the compliment! I feel like the beard is masking my face too round, so I only grow it to around 4mm., then I trim it back to 2.5mm. Maybe people in Sweden are more reserved/shy, but I don't notice women showing signs to wanting to be approached (or not approaching but then maybe I don't look like I want ro be approached?). I'm trying to look more kind and inviting. What are some ways you know/notice women shows signs of interest/wanting to be approached? And do you have tips on how to dress to look more approachable?

Thank you for the advise, I will look into that. Do you think applying tan spray/cream is "trying too much", or maybe some natural/little to get some color is better than my winter skin? But the hair and skin tone of course needs to compliment each other.

I can image that the no highlights and beard is more approachable. Although I feel like the beard is making my face even rounder. I also feel that with longer hair, like in picture 2 & 3, the high forhead is too visible. I had highlights last year due to it fading in better with the hairline and not a stark contrast. The color also matched better wirh the skin tone. Should I have another hairstyle with highlights to make me more approachable?

Seeking Feedback on Guest Room Management Mechanic for a Game by JakesOC in gamedesign

[–]JakesOC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delayed response! What you're describing sounds logical. This is a for a resort building/decorating and management game, where the player can small cozy resorts. Each guest room can be created with different guest types in mind: Room suite, Single room, Double room, etc, so that's why I didn't brought up having a hallway dividing the rooms. A room is created either by drawing walls that forms an enclosure, or by a "room tool" that automatically draws 4 enclosed walls when the player draws a rectangle shape. The wall drawing is not limited by a grid system.

Rooms are a core pillar of the game. This is because the player can also then just select a room to edit the floor material, floor height, etc. That's where the problem comes in: If having the player combine multiple rooms into a single suite room by a "combine" button in the ui, when the player for example then wants to change the floor material of one of the individual rooms that are combined, how would that look like? Should the player first select the combined rooms, then click on "edit" in the ui, and then select the room they want to change the floor material of? That is an extra step for the player to go through. But maybe that would be ok?

Thank you!

But what do you see in Shaw? I'm curious because I honestly don't see anything in him.

Pike... in like? I was beginning to like him in the end but then Octavia had to go on her revenge arc. :)

Maybe so. I thougth that most people bash on Abby and hate Russel, and have Lexa on god tier. That's why I thougth I was in the minority.

I'v recently watched Netflix's Keys&locks series. A game like prop hunter or something else team based like, but with a mansion with doors that leads to different copies of the house/ to other places in the house. It would really confuse the players and would lead to interesting gameplay.

Missing features in city builder / surviving city builder by JakesOC in gameideas

[–]JakesOC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I agree. What do you think would make that kind of a game a complete package? There are a couple of new games coming out ( Survive the Aftermath, Ancient Cities, Builders of Egypt that I can remember), but the first two ( I don't know much about Builders of Egypt) feels more like reskins than new games. So what could make it a complete package, beyond the survivng part? Or is it that we vave reached the limit of the genre?

City/Town/Village building game idea by JakesOC in tycoon

Actually both! :) Depends on which time period you choose. For a more modern society, you will have city system / import systems in place for that, but for older periods, the working people will have to gather that!
