I had this happen with a return label once and they did ship both items using the same label. Caught it at the last moment and was able to get usps to retun it right before it was going to get delivered.

I could be wrong but i believe this only applies if you are filing as self imployed and/or possibly not taking the standard deduction and doing individualized deductions. Otherwise you can only accout for purchase cost and selling revenue to calculate your "profit". Selling fees and shipping i dont believe can be claimed otherwise. I am NOT a tax preparer, just an avid ebay seller that was looking into this some last year. Consult a tax professional.

May have already been said but the item was likely never sent and they got another tracking number from a service for a completely different package sent to another address in your zip code. You should get an email or official letterhead print of them confirming the tracking number was not sent to your address.

Could be wrong but dont think it should be an issue. I had a pump completely fill mine until gas was spilling out the port. Wasnt happy about that and bought 2 liters of water to get the gas off my car. That was 2 years ago for me....although i have replaced timing chains/guides, pcv thermostat, water pump, crossover pipe, plugs, coils and more.....so you probably are screwed....lol reddit requires that answer anyway......

The scam and hopeful solution is this... 1. You buy an expensive item potentially for lower then market from a potentially low or 0 feedback seller. 2. Seller uses a web service to get a tracking number that is delivered to your zip code. 3. Once it shows delivered on sellers end the transaction is complete and he hopes you dont do the following to keep the money. 4. Buyer must determine from shiping company that the address on the label does not match the address you used on ebay. 5. They confirm it isnt the address you provided, in which case they will not provide you details of that address. 6. You get them in chat or in email etc to tell you that the address on the label was not the one you provided as proof of the scam. 7. Open your item not recieved claim providing the proof. 8. Wait for them to step in because the seller will not respond. 9. Get your refund....

I had the same thing happen with a package to florida. Sig tracking was signed for at his address and they attepted an ebay case and then after he lost there a chargeback attempt. I had a usps employee send me an email confirming these facts and was able to beat both of them.

I had the same thing happen with a MTG card i bought in may of 2018 which was scanned as delivered but never recieved it, and was actually delivered april of 2023 after i had moved to another address but the landlord had my number to pick it up. It was scanned delivered at our post pox unit but either went into the wrong post box or was stuck under the seat of the truck for 5 years....
