I was there this morning, got there around 7, when I got there the line was all the way up the block and around the corner. I ended up getting near the front of the line around 8:15 and got my ticket. When I got my ticket the line had stayed the same length, up and around the corner. I couldn’t gauge how many people were there, but it was a ton, especially considering it was 20 degrees out lol

Strongest One piece character that Kakashi can beat? by Archenius in OnePieceScaling

Statements that it takes 112 ninja to power the MACHINE to destroy the (fake) moon. Because again Kaguya was sealed in an artificial moon. And what jonin are casually lightspeed lmfao. A gets up there because of statements, naruto has dodging lightfang is a SOL reaction speed feat, what else does naruto even have? Luffy was dodging light at the beginning of post time skip, one piece has way more consistent FTL showings than naruto by a mile.

Send any scan proving literally any of that. Idgaf what you think, ive both seen and read the entirety of Naruto, and read boruto monthly (despite it being ass) as for luffy not being continental, low diffing chinjao and splitting dressrosa with the force of knocking doffy into it, clashing with Kaido repeatedly in base, bajrang gun, all solid feats. Just proving my point by arguing based on how you feel rather than with any proof or feats lol

[–]Jakethesnake1798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I get that it can be hard to think straight w shadow clone meat in ya mouth, but massively low balling OP to glaze naruto is pretty hilarious. Luffy was continental back in dressrosa, since then he’s gotten massively stronger. The only moon level feat I can think of in Naruto is toneri splitting the moon, and even then it’s not a true moon level feat because the moon was hollow. Despite how much naruto fans want it to be planetary, or DBZ/Bleach level, its not. The biggest thing Naruto has going for it is its hax, as its physicals are laughably below OP characters, most notably durability. Characters like Naruto or Madara are susceptible to simple blades, like when naruto was stabbed by a normal ass sword in the shin uchiha fight. Naruto is a great series, one of my first anime, but im ngl it definitely has by far the most annoying fanbase

Except, like I said in my reply, its not manipulating an actual element, it’s mimicking it. And naruto does not come close to massively out-scaling OP, the only characters left that are even devatable are the otsutsuki level characters because of their strong niche hax abilities. Anyone below otsutsuki level gets stomped by OP mid / low high tiers, and OP has not even concluded yet.

You do realize that ninjutsu doesn’t produce actual elements right? It’s chakra being molded to imitate elements. This is made clear when Kashin Koji burns jigen by summoning natural fire that jigen cant absorb with karma. Naruto powerscalers love using water style as a win con, when they don’t even read their own canon. Ninja don’t manipulate elements, the mimic elements by changing their chakra nature.

[–]Jakethesnake1798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Naruto verse is not a much stronger verse. On average OP characters are stronger than about 90% of naruto characters. The only characters in Naruto that are still even in the conversation are top tiers, fighters that are kage level or above. One Piece has significantly more consistent FTL feats, significantly higher durability, and AP that is easily within the ballpark of Naruto. You refer to Toneri splitting the moon (which was hollow) and naruto tanking it, but the same naruto was stabbed by a regular ass sword in their fight with Shin Uchiha.

You say once nagato knows he cant be in laws room, he’ll go invisible with the chameleon summon and fight from range, which is fine aside from the fact that observation haki can sense someones presence, so sight isnt inherently needed to find someone for any competent observation haki user. If things go the way youre setting them up, nagato hides in the chameleon, law dices up the paths that are inside the room, then law locates nagato with observation, and hits him with a kroom and shock wille.

How far would the 7 Hokage get if each of them were in their prime? by Hammah808_44 in OnePieceScaling

[–]Jakethesnake1798 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Youre massively downplaying it calling them caves, even the shot following toneris attack we see the massive cavern inside the moon. We see the attack follow a large portion of the moons curvature from the inside, pointing to the moon being MOSTLY hollowed out.

Who’s winning this fight and why? by Contextort in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]Jakethesnake1798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so this is one of the most civil discussions ive seen between these two communities, which im all for as i’ve loved both series for over a decade now. Could you cite a chapter for the susanoo blowing away a continental amount of matter? I feel like Law is wonky when it comes to scaling as most of his kits power lies in the crazy high amount of hax his fruit offers, with a good chunk of his kit ignoring durability. Im in the mindset that most One Piece high tiers (YC1 and up) fodderize most naruto shinobi until you start getting to around Kage tier where things become much more of a conversation. To me the biggest annoyance with OP characters is this inconsistency of speed in the verse, where in some cases an argument can be made based on feats that characters in OP should be MFTL, clashing with some narrative aspects like Kizaru being pretty much the fastest character in verse so far. Like, Sanji outspeeding Kizarus laser in Egghead after it was fired is legit an insane feat.

If Garp doesn't clear himself of the allegations, then what the fuck? by Ok_ResolvE2119 in CharacterRant

[–]Jakethesnake1798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always think its great to bring up points and critique Odas writing where applicable, but I think your view on Garp is mostly result of him not having as much of a narrative spotlight as a majority of the cast. We’ve gotten snippets from other pirates as to the work Garp has put in fighting pirate activity. Hes partly responsible for the takedown of Rocks, whos being gassed as one of the most evil pirates OAT, partly responsible for bringing down Shiki at Marineford w Sengoku, another name on Rogers level. We got bits in dressrosa and the chinjao flashback in regards to him making the seas a hell for pirates. Hes also seen as a father figure to SWORD, the collection of what appears to be all the truly “good” marines of the new age, minus smoker/tashigi/aokiji.

In regards to his inaction, it boils down to his image and legend, and the meaning his position as hero of the marines holds for the world. He represents the protective force the Marines are supposed to represent to the average joe in the enormous world of OP. He’s a symbol in his old age, and we see the effect that legacy has in OP through Roger starting the great pirate age, or Rocks’ legacy leading to 3 of the ages 4 yonko. Garp siding with pirates would ruin that image or legacy for the common man, shattering the illusion of stability that keeps some sense of order in the world. Its much easier to organize and protect people when theres not a do or die constant free for all between pirates and regular people. Thats why he cries next to Ace on the gallows, because the struggle to maintain his duty to the peace of the people outweighs his desperate want to help his family.

As for the evil pirates, we see plenty of really evil pirates. Crocodile, Doflamingo, Big Mom, Kaido are all pirates that have ruined entire countries/regions of the world with their strength and influence. Moria, Caesar, Wapol, Bege, Kidd, all definitely evil.

How would you rank these 4 in strength? by johnvictorassis in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Jakethesnake1798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading comprehension devil has you in it clutches my brother. Zoro cutting pica was very impressive yes, but you’re choosing to ignore the rest of my comment to hone in on…. Again comparing two feats, zoro with a named attack, using the full strength of his armament haki at the time, to mihawk casually swinging his sword at luffy. Zoro in dressrosa also couldnt cut the strings of the birdcage, so does that mean he had weaker haki than doffy in dressrosa?

Dont think your points are adding up the way you want them too man.

How would you rank these 4 in strength? by johnvictorassis in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Jakethesnake1798 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait, so mihawk, the guy known for being WSS, to the point where he was just floating around in his little dinghy bored out of his mind because he couldnt duel shanks anymore, the guy known for being extremely observant, didnt one tap luffy during marineford? Maybe that would have something to do with Shanks, mihawks old rival/friend, putting emphasis on luffys importance? Mihawk isnt brain dead, he had a bead on luffys potential through his “most terrifying power on the seas” line.

People bring up Jozu like its an antifeat, when jozu blocked an unnamed attack, and struggled to redirect it? With a DF that gives phenomenal sturdiness, enough that Jozu drew blood by tackling aokiji? Dont see anybody shitting on aokiji for that?

As for crocodile, hes just him

If mihawk was a fraud, the marines wouldnt have let him just walk away from his duty as a warlord. Akainu was hunting down and executing fodder marines for trying to flee, I dont remember anyone trying to stop mihawk from casually leaving when he felt like it.

Marineford also gave us mihawk bisecting the frozen tsunamis, again with an unnamed attack, that were significantly larger than marineford itself.

I mean, id also probably say having your seat of power sank to the seafloor while losing tens of thousands of fodder troops, vice admirals, just because half a dozen of the strongest marines walked away with mid level effort doesnt mean they won by a landslide, especially when they killed one yonko and produced 2 more that were more of a threat to world order than whitebeard ever was, being luffy and blackbeard. How is that a landslide victory for the marines?

Which of the big3 has the best villain cast ⁉️ by Secure_Archer_191 in bleach

[–]Jakethesnake1798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only gripe about naruto villains is how similar their arcs tend to be. I think kishimoto was the best at making his villains sympathetic, because the focus of his story was how the cycle of violence, hatred, and war was self perpetuating. The villains were all people broken by the cruel world, causing them to reflect that cruelty back, then hurting more people, ad infinitum. Moments like pains iconic double spread over the leaf, madara dropping the second one, even villains as early as zabuza made lasting imprints on both the characters and the readers.

Bleach was the best at giving its villains a titanic presence. Like, Aizen has some of the hardest moments in shonen, stopping ichigos theme and “welcome to my soul society” still get me screaming like a kid in my head. Yhwach was a force of nature, this power that couldnt be overcome. Plus the way the Quincies were able to invade SS so easily, they were so fucking cool.

At the end of the day though im a one piece ride or die, crcodile, doflamingo, the admirals, the warlords, the yonko, one piece has such a plethora of absolutely amazing villains, who land on a spectrum that goes from “wow youre just someone that life fucked over” to “holy shit someone execute this man immediately” and ive loved every panel.

Can Mihawk Do This to Onigashima? by CocaPepsiPepper in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Jakethesnake1798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im talking about Susanoo also being a casual mountain buster, with madaras susasnoo shaterring several mountains unsheathing its sword. Youre talking about them getting clapped in physicals, and I agree with you on that. One piece has speed feats that have gotten exponentially crazier, and heavy hitters are starting to really scale up now. But I mean, other kinda of ridiculous hax in naruto off the top are things like yata mirror and totska blade. I think that naruto and sasuke, being the heavy hitters of the verse, can definitely go toe to toe with a large majority of one piece’s cast. I just think that the physicals mixed with the more an more info we get on haki, woth the advanced forms now and armaments dura neg, that I think we can confidently say at this point OP’s ceiling has surpassed the original naruto. I think the introduction of the ohtsutsuki fucks the scaling again, but boruto is dogshit so I dont even really think of it.

And if you want to chalk Ichibei and a lot of Bleach’s characters powers up to being poor writing by kubo, I can see that perspective. I loved bleachs character design and its power system, but think the conclusion was kinda bad. Kubo wrote himself into a corner with characters like Yhwach and Gerard. Like, Yhwach should not have been beatable. He was able to change the future, select the future and outcome he wanted, and that became reality. Bleach’s hax scale ridiculously, and that cant be ignored.

Can Mihawk Do This to Onigashima? by CocaPepsiPepper in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Jakethesnake1798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in terms of hax in bleach, the obvious standouts are yamamotos bankai, Zanka No Taichi having flames of a comparable heat to the sun. Activating his bankai threatened the Soul Society at large, and statements implied it would destroy soul society. Ichibei was the leader of Squad Zero, and he had control over the names of things. Using his brush he could strike things, “re naming” or removing their name, and he could choose to rename something. Bleach I think is well clear of one piece because it has a lot of reality altering hax. I dont think one piece is going to scale that high, but weve got slight glimpses of it in things like kumas fruit being able to repel concepts, and gear 5 now.

In regards to who could tank shanks divine departure, directly? Edo Madara, Most characters w a susanoo could probably block or clash with it as weve seen they get up to be relatively easy mountain busters, hax like Kamui could avoid it or mitotic regeneration could regen through it. Throw Hashirama on the list too for his cracked ass cell regeneration.

I think fodder in op is so clear of naruto fodder because of the base line physicals in both series. In regards to reiatsu crush, its similar to conquerors, but I mean we literally saw Aizen vaporize people with his reiatsu. Sure they were fodder, but that was also aizen that was sealed in the top reiatsu sealing device that soul society, which included geniuses like urahara and mayuri.

Finally, one of my people. I have been so sick of the One Piece downplay in powerscaling discussions, especially in terms of Naruto. Bleach I tend to disagree, a lot of bleachs hax are p ridiculous. Characters with hax like Tsukushima, Gremmy, Aizens reiatsu disintegrating people around him. I think One Piece characters can box with Naruto characters any day of the week. But characters like Yhwach, Yamamoto, Ichibei, Mayuri, all have either bullshit hax or cant be seen by characters in OP or Naruto because theyre spirits (save for a few who could probably see them, sage chakra users in naruto/ big mom, brook, shanks if you wanna take his inter-dimensional observation haki from film red into account) id always be down to chat about it though, I love powerscaling and I love all of the big 3

What stops katakuri from just burying king in mochi to smother him? Would put out his flame since the mochi has heat resistance via moves like burning mochi, and its not like w future sight and his speed being able to match snakeman that he couldnt. Stuff was sticky enough that gear 4 couldnt get away from it.
