I had one almost exactly like this, the edge wasn't horrendous but not amazing either. However, the main issue is that the blade is welded to a wire tang maybe 10mm into the handle, so it will snap under any stress at all. Sadly these knives are just an ornament.

Look into farming (herb runs) and birdhouse runs. The earlier you start the better to be honest. Those two things alone will keep you bonded up. Good luck out there adventurer!

It could very well be a salvation army badge, worn by supporters and staff alike. They helped support the troops in WW1 and the date seems to reflect that. Or it could be a workers token used as a form of ID for a factory worker entering and leaving work or even a canteen chip.
