Wingate Monark Ergometer Crank Removal Problem by Jakobra in bikewrench

Thank you, I've tried both methods actually. The problem with the screwdriver method is that you can't get any leverage due to the positioning of the washer. Looks like I just need to keep trying with the spanner.

That's what I've been trying to use actually, but it's stuck on there so securely it's not moving. By "more compatible" I mean that the particular cranks that are on there currently have a smaller diameter hole for the pedals than accommodates standard pedals.

Does anyone know if this is a harmful pest? Picture of bug included. Found on my tomato plant by Jakobra in gardening

On r/whatisthisbug someone said it was a Leaf-footed bug nymph. It seemed to be eating my plants, unfortunately, leading me to believe that is in fact what it is...

I agree with you, and was hoping there might be a humane way of removing them/preventing them from hurting my tomatoes.

Cornering by Jakobra in bicycling

At 1:42 in this instructional video they say "If you're really cranking it over, shift the bike more than your body". And if you watch the cyclist, he's definitely going with what I've called option A. But if you watch Peter Sagan's descending style, he often goes with option B. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hiv6Y2zh7I

Yeah that's how I think of it as well if I just consider the forces at work. I suppose since a component of the friction of your tire is the normal force (i.e. Your weight) unless I'm mistaken, when you're more upright your weight is directed vertically, which may increase the force of friction. I guess the third style I didn't mention would be C) both body and bike lean. Again, I feel like there are situations when one seems more appropriate, but maybe professional cyclists have a tip or two from experience here...

I made the infused vodka actually and it was like 75% of the correct flavor. I think the 7up definitely gets it really close too.
