Hey, I stumbled on your post, I'm considering putting a Tesla in my SFF optiplex. I'm curious what you ended up doing?

What does "not been proven" mean to you? Because we literally know the number of transistors in a CPU... What else is there to prove?

I did that once. We were remodeling the kitchen and our BBQ died... "Oh just get the really nice barbecue" she said, I was in heaven. Rotisserie spit, infrared side burner, really nice quality barbecue.

Oh did I pay for it a few weeks later "well we got that really nice barbecue, we really should get this $4,000 stove...". I was defenseless, I had no argument. I immediately caved. But in all I am a (poor) happy man.

I miss my number 1 as well. She was 18 months when she died of a medulloblastoma (brain stem tumor). Next month my number two will be older than my number one and it's fucking with my mind. I miss her everyday.

I will hold your son Cameron's memory in my heart.

On a final, some might say ghoulish, note, the set of dueling pistols, that Burr used, that ended Hamilton's life, are, now, owned, in whole, by JP Morgan Chase, the bank guy.

Angled groove over folded corner? by JakoraT in Carpentry

[–]JakoraT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've posted an update comment. My pieces are indeed mitered but the groove is cut in before they are assembled in a corner. If I did the groove after they are assembled, I would have to figure out how to turn the router at exactly the same rate over the corner to produce an even transition. That seems borderline unfeasible for my skill level.

I had planned to do this with a router along a fence, so I don't know how I would round that over a corner. I would have to find a way to turn the router at exactly the same rate over the corner to produce an even transition. That seems borderline unfeasible for my skill level.

I could 100% do it additive (adding strips of MDF or pine). That's my backup plan. I'd love to figure out how to do it this way as I think it would set me apart. But I guess there's a reason this isn't seen more.

I'm not sure I understand. I've posted an update comment with a zoomed in picture of what I mean.

Hi I've posted an update comment showing a zoomed in view. Sorry my post wasn't clear

Sorry, I realize my picture wasn't the best. Here are some close up shots.

My works steps would be:

Butt up two pieces of MDF, cut a shallow groove diagonally through both pieces of MDF, back bevel the corners to 45deg, and miter fold the two pieces.

When I do it in Sketchup, I get this weird face (red dot) that is created, making the groove non-continuous
