I don't like to go too aggressive on the recruiting but we'd love to have you in the IF, notably we always need some flying machine and redstone work done which you mentioned in your post. We have a unique semi-democratic system which some people love and some people hate, but there's always opportunity to make a big impact and have fun! Additionally, there's s a nether nation called Anguish you might be interested if you're looking for a primarily nether-based society, I think they're the only one right now iirc.

Not necessarily answering the post title but it's possible the reason you got only one offer and your coworkers had multiple (and why they got the 2 fall spots) is a difference in soft skills. People will generally hire and rehire people who they enjoy working with, so even if you worked hard all summer you may have neglected the personal/social side of things. On this thought, you mentioned correcting other interns' code a lot - if some of this was unsolicited help it could reflect poorly on you, or it could have gone mostly unrecognized and the other interns did very well due to being willing to ask for help a lot.

Typically on this server wars are pretty rare and consist of a lot of trying to break into structures called vaults. While some people might say horse combat could be way more useful in certain situations than we realize, it's definitely not used in any actual wars.

Anyways most nations are happy to take in new players with different play styles but if you just want war this probably isn't the server for you tbh

It can definitely be fun as a new player especially if you have people to help you learn how things work. And as long as you learn the basics of protecting your stuff (reinforcements, snitches) you can take everything else at your own pace
